sometimes I wish I was equipped with the strength to pick people up by the back of the neck. do we think The Hulk experienced catharsis?

Unfortunately it has irrevocably changed my life for the worse in many ways (chronic pain, PTSD, etc) but it also made me a more patient and understanding person. Shit’s weird. Earth is an incredible place

Almost died 8 year ago today. Dude OD’d while driving and hit me while I walked, pinning me to a tree. Thankful to still be here, thankful I fought tooth and nail to reduce his jail time as much as possible and replace it with 3 years of intensive inpatient rehab. Hope he’s okay

I’m so proud of Brazil. This election literally saved the planet. Lula’s commitment to stopping deforestation of the Amazon can and will slow climate change. Not to mention the way people were mobilized. People were in canoes to go vote! The power of the people is so beautiful.

Nathan F is really good at the “not giving you autopilot answers” thing. When you start paying attention to just how much bad actors rely on you operating on autopilot, it gets interesting. Salespeople IMO employ the same tactic, sometimes!

Missy is saying a whole lot here💀. That’s why I tell people to always pay attention to who is in Janet’s circle. Who she champions And yes, Janet could easily say I carved my own lane. I don’t even have to bother trying to compete with talent after me but she’s too humble to 😂

Choose the Cape chestnut, as it is an indigenous tree. It produces spectacular flowers, and its roots are less invasive and its branches less brittle than those of the jacaranda. Oh and it grows faster than Jacaranda too. – at Gikambura, Kenya
I was to plant them until I realized they get carry loads of green scales which affect almost all fruit trees. Quite an easy decision to make between fruits and a flowering tree!

Esp bc forgiveness also functions as a way of restoring the social standing of the offender w/o requiring restitution. Once the victim refuses to forgive, they become the obstacle to reconciliation, & the community can treat their continued pain as disrupting social order
Society’s obsession with forgiveness is one of the biggest contributors to abuse of all forms. Somehow the victim is gaslit into forgiving someone who wronged them but the same energy is never had for the actual abuser/perpetrator.

the day my mom said I walk like a soldier, that had to end.
this reminds me of months ago when a guy told me my accent in somali is almost perfect but he could tell i was a diaspora because none of us walk with our hips
