The game clock operator said on the phone, "We have a problem: the clock isn't working, and neither is the play on the field."

Trent Dilfer, you were in a conference where other schools were dealing with the same problems NIL wise as UAB. You have no excuses. Just admit it! You weren't a very good college coach. You were even promoting other colleges (Louisville) while you were the head coach at UAB.

Drove by Bartow tonight and got a decent look at the current state. UAB is supposed to play here in one week. Construction workers were working in there as of about 9 PM.

UAB and UCF both started FBS football in 1996 — played on the same field and finished with the same record. One is in the Big 12 now. The other is searching for an athletic director.
