Here’s your friendly reminder that bodily autonomy doesn’t begin or end at reproductive rights. It includes the right to use (ALL) drugs/substances. Everyone uses drugs.

Raising funds for the cats. Particularly for this guy, Cinnamon. I've had to put my account into the hole to get him food he would actually eat. Looking at... probably the 22nd before I get paid again.

How many of those women are locked up simply for maintaining their body with a substance some people in society didn't approve of? The dietary police literally are putting people in states of bondage. It's time to end these discriminatory anti-drug laws. #NoNewBans.
A reminder that alot of the candy we eat is made with women’s prison labor. Russell Stover’s factory in Kansas busses in 150 women a day via a convict leasing program to staff their candy factory.

I don’t think this will make much of a difference unless the Mayor also takes down all of the other cameras around the city and the RRHA cameras. All of them live feed into the “crime center” that RPD was given funding to create at RPD. All cameras should come down.
NOW: @DannyAvula says Richmond will not renew its contract with Flock #valeg The Richmond mayor says henrico’s similar move makes the concept less useful: “crime doesn’t end at the county line” Deets👉 instagram.com/reel/DeUZrEfMd…

Prohibition and opioid deprescribing are two of the most profound government-induced death campaigns of the last century. They have criminalized doctors (or deputized them as med cops) and justified racist structural oppression by police, child welfare, landlords & employers

Instead of weddings & baby showers we go to funerals. #DrugProhibition #NoMoreDrugWar #SafeSupplySavesLives
I rarely run into anyone I grew up with because they're all dead from the government's drug policy, but recently I've run into 2 different people at two different locations both of which were Dollar Generals.

Cindy Crawford’s son died AT REHAB, this is way more common than people realize. They’re not necessarily the “lifesaving” places folks believe they are.

The drug policy crisis will never end so long as people keep assigning blame to substances.

This is why I have been trying to educate people about the difference between unregulated drugs vs. Fentanyl. If people can't grasp this simple understanding they won't be able to understand why drug poisonings happen.
That's not how people think though. This was sold as Heroin. People see an apple and really believe oh that's just an apple, when it's really 26 different substances cobbled together into the shape of an apple.

It’s time friends! Organizing my list for the grocery store this evening to start packing sandwich bags for our houseless neighbors. I’m planning on a min of 150 bags, with some diff dietary options. If you’d like to pitch in, it’d be greatly appreciated! Venmo&cashapp mab804

In the commentary, Kolodny subtly concedes that illicit fentanyl drives opioid-involved overdose deaths and quietly skirts how increased OD deaths occurred as a result of flawed federal opioid policy influenced disproportionately by PROP. He’s ironically warning us about Kratom, knowing that he leveraged PROP to earn millions as an MDL Expert Witness - all at the cost of hundreds of thousands of American lives. pallimed.org/2021/05/props-d…

It’s not a coincidence that we never hear anyone speak transparently about what “non-opioid pain care” is or what these patient’s experiences were like.
The Alternatives to PAIN Act (H.R. 1227) now has 100+ cosponsors! Thank you to every Member supporting expanded access to non-opioid pain care, and special thanks to original cosponsors @RepBarragan and @RepMMM   Learn more here: nonopioidchoices.org/wp-cont…

if you only knew how bad things really are as long as the drug war runs, addiction medicine is a scam, a bottomless pit of #fraud & waste. the customer is always wrong, the outcomes do not matter. rehabs/recovery centers are virtual unregulated & relapse almost guaranteed

Healthcare in the U.S. continues to prioritize profits over patient care & outcomes. Medical professionals & have abandoned their oaths & allowed evidence based care to be dictated by an industry with zero expertise in the highly specialized fields their patients require.
Patient story: "they made me get these injections and when I stopped. I got dropped." Is anyone going to address this crisis of extortion and what is happening to pain patients? @DrOzCMS @RobertKennedyJr

If we want to actually do something about the cartels, we can start by ending the War on Drugs. We already ran this experiment with the mob during Prohibition. Turns out banning things just made organized crime richer. A regulated drug market is safer for everyone.

Check out The Price of Mercy by @galvinalmanza. It’s not a book about prison abolition but you may find yourself a prison abolitionist when you’re done. It is incredible and heartbreaking at the same time. It also includes a great conversation with my friend @stephenhrnrp.

One of the most disgusting things about opioid crisis propaganda is that every patient in pain is simply lying to get drugs, and even pet owners. You know, they're all just breaking their pets' legs for one pain pill. The damage done in the name of "prevention" is astounding.
