Obviously, I am not saying this in the sense of, "calling it a blacklist is racist," etc. I'm talking about how the normalization of slurs never yields good results.
"Why should I care about disabled people anyway?" You will most likely become one of them later in life. If you're unlucky, you could become disabled tomorrow. One random stroke, one traffic accident, one thing you did not expect could happen, and disable you for life.
Being born healthy isn't a guarantee. Even if you think it's stupid to stand up for others, realize that you could also be standing up for a future version of you who will need it. If you can't care about others, then surely, you can work to secure a better world for yourself.
some advice from a grown up who has been in love with an anime character since she was 10 years old, before merch, before social media even existed: if you TRULY love the character, that's all that REALLY matters! not doubles, not comms, not collections. make YOURSELF happy.
