Sgt. Jennifer Umphlet threatened to rip it off the wall, get a warrant, and keep her up all night. Officers then entered without a warrant, detained her for โnot cooperating,โ and (per her account) used her face to unlock and search her phone. Nothing foundโshe wasnโt a suspect.
The actual shooters were later charged without her video. Umphlet was placed on leave; public records later showed she was no longer employed.
