This year, I’m excited to announce a new event: Link:NYC.
As Chainlink has evolved into critical infrastructure for global finance and technology, our strategy needs to evolve as well.
We stand at the threshold of tokenization as financial institutions rapidly move onchain, and our event strategy must reflect that shift. Moving away from a single, broad event like SmartCon, this new model gives us the flexibility to scale a targeted series, beginning October 29, 2026, in New York City with programming built specifically for the banking and capital markets sector.
The exclusive event is built around 10 to 12 curated sessions on a premier main stage. Our goal is to ensure the right folks are in the room to turn conversations into production use cases, new applications, and real market demand.
While attendance is invite-only, the community remains a core part of this conference. We have invited key community members to attend and share their firsthand insights so you can follow the action through their eyes.
Additionally, the entire event will be live-streamed and recorded, giving everyone front-row access.
I believe this new format is the best way to accelerate the adoption of Chainlink technology where it matters most.

So not only are new tokens going to be running on CCIP but preexisting tokens can convert.
If they didn’t get it before they will soon.
Checking out the Chainlink website while live streaming Smartcon and came across the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard under CCIP.
So now anyone can create a CCT on supported chains instead of being white listed like before.
The training wheels are off.
So now token launches can be:
1) Self Service
2) Have Chainlink’s security
3) Don’t require liquidity pools
4) Have zero slippage for transfers
5) Supports ERC-20 compatible tokens such ERC677 & ERC777
