Restart the Gate: c.org/sbYrL6Jx9f
Amazon MGM greenlit a new Stargate series. Amazon has now stopped production on the Martin Gero-led series before filming. If the gate is going to reopen, Amazon needs to see respectful, visible demand from fans and new viewers.
A striking monolith, known as “Earth’s Black Box,” will be perched on the granite landscape of western Tasmania. The steel structure with a haunting purpose: to record “every step” humanity takes toward “catastrophe.”

The Secretary of State for Media... MEDIA, decides to leave a media platform. Not only that, she decided to interfere with The Paramount/Warner sale, when she ignored Comcast when it purchased Sky News (which is being Americanised) because of whom her mates are. Double Standards. And if this (or any other platform) is too toxic, the Government failed the checks and balances needed to keep social media companies in line. It's hypocritical.

A watch given to us, the crew, on the production of Event Horizon. It came with a metal strap (which I removed because it pulled the hairs on my arms), which I still have. The watch still works today. #eventhorizon #Movie #Film #tvshow #TVseries #vfx

Trump’s plan to redesign every .gov website leads to AI-designed horrors...
arstechnica.com/tech-policy/…
I knew about this a few days ago, but LastPass have suffered yet another data breach. In 2025, they were fined 1.2 million. They claim to take security very seriously, yet two related security incidents were disclosed by the password manager in 2022 and 5 previous breaches since 2011. That's 8 breaches in total, that we know about. Everything that LogMeIn touches, breaks, which is why LastPass broke away from them, but it made no difference. They simply do not take security seriously.

The White House now feel they need to name and shame people and organizations. A new low. But expected from a corruption administration. #Trump #politicsnews

Whilst I'm no fan of Starmer. This was a cheap shot from @RoyalMail, with a lengthy string of scandals and extremely bad business ethics that is still continuing today. This proves poor choices and childish tacticts to remain relevant in a vastly collapsing and toxic business.

A.L.I.E. 2.0 / The flame / Spirit of the Commander chip from the TV Show 'The 100.' Created in Blender. #the100 #vfx #blender #tvshow #tvseries #blender #blender3d
A.L.I.E. 2.0, also known as the Spirit of the Commander, was an artificial intelligence that resided in a cybernetic neural implant known as the Flame. Created by neuroscientist Becca Franko, the Flame was designed to allow the AI to directly interface with a human brain and augment it. The Flame held the minds of all its previous hosts (a.k.a. the Commanders).
Signals response to @GOVUK & @Keir_Starmer as the UK Government will ever expand their reach for mass surveillance whilst not protecting anyone. Least of all, children. Privacy is a human right and not a government tool for compliance.
Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all.

Publishing has an A.I. problem with cover art and promotions.
The A.I. design trope is a problem when it comes to publishing and promotions. Publishers and authors have ditched skilled artists and designers for A.I. generated slop. Typing a prompt to create another prompt that leads to artificially generated images is not a skill. Nor does it look good, and it's lazy by trying to save money. There's always telltale artifacting in these generated images, usually in text or the lack of any minute detail, and it looks atrocious and unreal.
More publishers and authors are adopting the use of A.I., probably to save movey or maybe they think they can do better than a skilled professional who spent many years learning their craft, that they can create in minutes, something that takes a skilled human many hours to create. But the results speak for themselves. A.I. generated images all look the same, so the final publication doesn't look unique at all. Granted that there are a lot of bad artists out there, but at least they tried and did their best. A.I. is just a mess of stolen and scraped images mushed together.
Any publisher who uses A.I. and doesn't tell the author should be fired and they deserve to fail. Same with an author who uses A.I. to write or help white a book. Both are lying which makes them dishonest.
I will no longer support a publisher or any author that uses A.I. This includes any work or promotion. For me, it stops now. If you want to be lazy and produce awful covers and promotional ads/material, then carry on. But I won't support you in any way, whether purchases, working for you, or promoting you and/or the author. You don't deserve it.
I know this will be unpopular for those who think A.I. is ok. But in the creative industries, it's not. And you will eventually suffer for it and will probably crawl back to the designers you shunned for your own greed, once the A.I. trend dies down.
If you're pro A.I., I don't want to hear your justifications. I've heard them all. There's nothing you can say to change my opinion, so don't even try. I'm not interested.
I remember working on this series and it's a shame it only lasted 3 Seasons. I've recreated the title in 8K as an archive of work and adding it to my archived projects. #intothebadlands #tvseries #vfx #vfxartist #amc #art #artwork #artist #tvshow

It all started in his first term with Covid conspiracies, but with a Plague Enthusiast as the Secretary of Health, denying Science is pushed to the forefront and this is how they treat real Scientists for standing up to this corrupt Administration.
