One of the darkest days for women’s rights in my lifetime. Obviously the immediate consequences will be suffered by women in the US - but this will embolden anti-abortion & anti-women forces in other countries too. Solidarity doesn’t feel enough right now - but it is necessary.

This is corporate leadership. Well done!
Atlassian’s statement on today’s Supreme Court ruling in the USA.
Shocking. Gut wrenching. Incomprehensible. When will it be enough?

The right of women to decide what happens to our own bodies is a human right. And experience tells us that removing the legal right to abortion doesn’t stop abortions happening - it just makes them unsafe and puts the lives of women at much greater risk #RoeVWade

My return to sourdough is successful! A combination of methods and better attention to proofing temperature is paying off. So delicious!

A month ago I went back to sourdough (after a bad experience during the first Sydney lockdown). Better, but still, ahem, stolid. But, I persisted. And tadaa - I present this glorious loaf. Not a hint of stolid. Tasty, beautiful crust, lovely open and springy crumb. So proud!

As the lockdown continues into its bazillionth day, @binchickensc and a selection of his most loyal juniors can be found, touting for work in the wilds of Lindfield. No court? No worries - take a seat on the grass and explain your problem - Bin Chicken SC to the rescue!

Last of the truffle - this was a true piece of home economics- mac and cheese (using odds and sods from the cheese drawer) and, of course! shaved truffle!!

Truffle festival continues. Poor photo. Absolutely delicious truffled mushroom risotto. Outstanding!
More truffle festival food- Bresse poulet demi deuil, (or chicken in mourning for the plebs!) with truffled potato gratin and fennel, blood orange and date salad - to cut the richness. Very good!

Silver linings - with restaurants closed, some exotic produce becomes available - here is a Bresse chicken (famed in France) salted and roasted, with roasted grapes, herbed potatoes and broccolini. Simple. Very very tasty. Yum!
