Last weekend we hosted the @Algorand x402 Agentic Commerce hackathon in @42_berlin as the first event of the @BerBlockWeek — and honestly, we were blown away by the builders who showed up. 370+ registrants. $21,200. 41 teams. 36 hours Here’s what went down 🧵

It was amazing to see firsthand how the robotics field is progressing this weekend at the @nebiusai and @nvidia hackathon at the @CodeUniversity organised by @techeurope_. Me and Abdul Wahid trained a robotic arm to do autonomous pick-and-place in the physical AI challenge - seems easy but it involved training an AI model in simulation, adapting the simulation to our real-world scenario using another AI model then giving all of these recordings to a third model to evaluate and score each episode to pick only the successful ones - and then actually recording tens of real episodes using a mirrored leader arm, fine-tuning our AI model using real-world recorded episodes. However, compared to some years ago, this is a much simpler process - I doubt that it would be possible to train a robotic arm to do this in one day - and the process is becoming much simpler and the tools are becoming much better. What we are witnessing are the first inning of physical AI becoming a real-life thing, not a gimmick or a showcase, but a real value proposition to reduce labour - be it a factory assembly line, a restaurant, cafe, delivery. Don't be fooled by the flashy humanoid robots (the hardest to make and less useful ones at that, those will take time) - for every humanoid robot we will have many more AI models embodied in the form of arms, grippers, rovers, tractors, drones, cars doing actually useful work in the coming years. We have seen how useful LLMs became just in the span of 4 years starting from GPT-3 to Fable - there will be a similar paradigm in physical AI. Very excited to see the Jetsons come to life! Perfect use case for @Algorand, which is uniquely suited to handle microtransactions with a less than 3 sec settlement time and fees in the fractions of a cent. Also super easy to integrate, uses TS and Python - just point your agent to our docs to create an x402 endpoint

It is crazy that this is not widely reported! After trying several times they finally sneaked in Chat Control to read all of your messages, emails and photos automatically without a warrant, all happening not in Russia, oops no - right here in the bastion of democracy - Europe. This is my we need all of those privacy solutions being worked on in web3 here in Berlin
