JSConf 🟨 changed my life. Meeting that community of people in 2010 – "the JSConf family" – was when I knew that JavaScript was going to win.
I was already involved in the Node.js project. But it was JSConf that year when I knew Node.js would become the largest development platform on the planet.
I registered nodejitsu.com the next day. I believed in "Always bet on JS" 🐢🚀
That belief in the community drove me to help found the Node.js Foundation after io.js & later as a Board Memeber to help it evolve into the OpenJS Foundation.
OpenJS adopting JSConf brings all of that effort full circle, resting JSConf truly in the home it created 💛
