I asked Michigan DC Jay Hill if he has aspirations to become an FBS head coach:
"Sure, absolutely. ... But right now, that's not the focus. It can't be the attention. I owe it to my players to be locked in to where my feet are right now. My feet are at Michigan and doing everything I can to have the best defense in the country."

WNBA announcer Rebecca Lobo accidentally calls America great and then apologizes.
"That's what makes America great...I should rephrase that."
In the WNBA you can push the trans agenda on children. You can attack the President. You can push a racist agenda.
But don't you dare say something nice about America.

NEW: How has Michigan DC Jay Hill earned the buy-in from his players this season?
It starts with paper and pencils instead of PowerPoint.
'We challenge our guys. We get them on the board, and we check their notes to make sure everything is diligent.'

Quick notes from Michigan DC Jay Hill's presser today:
▪️On his coaching aspirations: He does want to become a head coach at this level, but his focus right now is on this defense.
▪️On what this team needs to do to improve: Win the turnover battle. He said the defense has to find ways to create more takeaways. If the offense turns it over twice, the defense needs to force three. If the offense scores seven points, the defense needs to hold the opponent to six. He also emphasized the importance of field position, saying good defenses put their offenses in position to succeed.
▪️On the offensive struggles: Keep fighting, clawing, digging and researching. Keep looking for ways to get better.
▪️On DB Chris Bracy: He’s been a playmaker since he stepped on campus. Called him a phenomenal player.
▪️On the secondary: He praised the group’s speed, quickness, length and ball skills. Said they’ve been humble enough to embrace their roles and play together, and they’re performing at a really high level.
▪️On whether the defense is doing everything it can: He’s proud of his players and the level they’re playing at, but said there’s always more they can do, especially after a loss.
▪️On Tariq Boney: He’s one of the first players in the building and consistently puts in the work. Said they recognized his potential for greatness early on.

Michigan made a massive mistake hiring Sherrone Moore instead of Jesse Minter after 2023.
Michigan has another defensive genius in the building who wants to be a head coach eventually.
Do not repeat the same mistakes.
Do not let Jay Hill leave

Hire Jay Hill as HC, and get a new offensive staff. Could be the immediate interim answer. Give him a 2-3 year contract.

This is a man operating in the moment. He's here, in the present and doing everything he can to keep this defensive unit on track and on task.
Jason Beck, I think, is auditioning for the next job. He's trying to show the world that he is the smartest man in the room and that he should be considered for bigger and better things. Whatever he's doing, he's certainly not operating in the present.
Whitt . . . I'm not sure if he even knows what day it is.

#Michigan DC Jay Hill on aspirations to become a head coach at this level one day:
"Well, sure, absolutely. I loved my time as a head coach. That was something special to me, that relationship with my players and all that stuff, but right now, that's not the focus. It can't be the attention. I owe it to my players to be all locked into where my feet are right now. My feet are at Michigan and doing everything I can to have the best defense in the country."
