Whilst I'm on a positive streak: it's been said a lot but huge props to @FollowNbs @d00mbr0s this year. Some of the most visible coach impact I've ever seen, and looking forward to following them next year.

The FNC superteam was easy because we had an existing foundation and added a coupla stars. Have to give props to VITALITY who didn't have existing foundations but all the same pressure + expectations. Hopefully we just saw foundations firmly built for consistency to come.

LOUD's Summit reminds me of LEV's Split: condensed but thorough Playbook with conditioned Defaulting, set protocols + finishers. People will overlook how much structure was key to 2 tournament winners this year; despite meta shenanigans. I will be investigating further 🙂

It's a style I've been a fan of for a long time, especially for deep tournament play with younger mechanical players. How can you be nervous if you have done the same thing 10,000 times?

Will have to see if it matters but Split was the better chance at stealing a map
Double ban advantage now becomes huge for LOUD, being able to get rid of Ascent and Lotus makes it their tournament to lose. Enjoyed their awareness of VIT's ideas on Summit today too - didn't die to the extremity fights and abused Profek's inability to smoke B as an A anchor

Shame G2 weren't rewarded with a Global for how good they could play over the past few years. Credit to them for carving out an identity in this meta too - the PRX cosplay was looking rough at the start of the year, but found a great balance towards the later half.

Will be back to VOD Reviews for finals weekend (apologies for flip-flopping). I enjoy it more, get more viewers, and don't have to wake up at 6 am 🙂

Made some "super teams" 1.5 years ago The obvious 2 are now at Champs, but fun to see nonetheless. I think criteria was "never played in VCT".

Erde's late round/clutch was so impressive during Stage 2 Playoffs that I thought there was no way he could continue that level. Apparently he can...
