Knowledge bases are the rage these days. Maybe we should build one? āœ… How much force does it take to prepare 1g of meteoritic material from another solar system? āœ… What does the moon taste like? āœ… Can you tell the difference between T. rex bones and Triceratops? If so, how?

In this episode of Mini Museum’s Saw Naked, we cut Woolly Mammoth ā€œsteaksā€ on the bandsaw. At 19k years old, this dry aged muscle tissue might set a few records for best marbling and most unique fragrance. It’s also hard as a rock. šŸ˜‚

Sometimes it's the mileage that counts... This is an actual, mission-flown fragment of kapton foil from the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia. This material helped protect Apollo astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins on their journey from Earth to the Moon and back. Salvaged after splashdown, this is a unique collectible from one of the greatest achievements in human history. We have quite a few Apollo mission collectibles from 11, 13, and Apollo 8. They're available in cool displays like the one pictured here, and even as jewelry. Some of the fragments are small and some are large, but all of them have been to the moon and back. It's a heck of a thing and something we never get tired of looking at. shop.minimuseum.com/collecti…

We're not saying it's because we have Hershel's pants... but we actually do have his pants. kickstarter.com/projects/min… #thewalkingdead #hershel #twd

Instant add to the nightstand. Can't wait to drop in on this one.
Today is launch day for Steve Jobs in Exile. I spent almost four years digging into Steve's stretch in the wilderness -- 1985 to 1997, after Apple pushed him out and before it brought him back. I expected the record to be complete. What more could there be on the most written-about entrepreneur alive? I was wrong. An archivist at Carnegie Mellon told me I was the first person in about fifteen years to open the NeXT archive. People had been holding letters, tapes, memos, recordings in their closets for decades, waiting to show someone. More than a hundred of them sat down with me. They didn't tell me about the genius-or-tyrant caricature. This was a younger Steve, mostly off-camera, nearly bankrupt, learning the hard way. Out now, order link below.

That means the "All In Tier" (aka Survivor Stash) is loaded! kickstarter.com/projects/min… Lucille, Michonne, Rick, Daryl, Carol, Morgan, Glenn. Faces and places - props, costumes and set pieces... If you're a fan of The Walking Dead and you'd like to score authentic screen-shown props, this is the ultimate level to lock in. Not only will you get the top tier acrylic collection with all 32 items in the collection, but you'll also score all of the solo items including the Walker Blood pendant. Yeah, it's definitely not cheap but it is a crazy amount of swag. And who knows... maybe we'll add even more. By the way, ALL of these items are available in solo items if you want to mix and match and maybe still have a little gas in the tank to make it to the next community.

Carol and Daryl... They look pretty good together, don't they? Working on these two authentic props will bring us some feels for sure. Something beautiful to share... like a Cherokee rose. "It’s a Cherokee Rose. The story is that when American soldiers were moving the Indians off their land on the Trail of Tears, the Cherokee mothers were grieving and crying so much ā€˜cause they were losing their little ones along the way from exposure and disease and starvation. A lot of them just disappeared. So the elders, they said a prayer; asked for a sign to uplift the mothers’ spirits, give them strength and hope. The next day this rose started to grow where the mothers’ tears fell. I’m not fool enough to think there’s any flowers blooming for my brother. But I believe this one bloomed for your little girl." #TheWalkingDead #TWD #Caryl #TWDFamily #DarylDixon #CarolPeletier #CherokeeRose

Long before the Beatles became the most famous band in the world, they were four young musicians playing marathon sets in a cramped underground club beneath the streets of Liverpool. That club was The Cavern. Between 1961 and 1963, the Beatles performed there nearly 300 times. The venue became the center of Liverpool’s exploding music scene and the birthplace of Beatlemania itself. Fans packed into the humid brick cellar to watch the band evolve in real time, night after night, as songs, personalities, and history took shape only a few feet away. The original Cavern Club was eventually demolished in the 1970s, but portions of the structure were carefully preserved. This piece contains an authentic brick recovered from the original club, creating a direct physical connection to one of the most influential spaces in the history of modern music. For many fans, the Cavern represents something larger than a performance venue. It represents the moment before the world changed. Before Shea Stadium. Before Ed Sullivan. Before Abbey Road. Before the Beatles became myth. Just a stage, a crowd, and a basement in Liverpool. Each specimen is housed inside our handcrafted display and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity describing its origin and historical significance. A small fragment from the room where the modern music era began.

Hey @elonmusk. Big shout out to @Monique_X and @miranasr for getting us back up and running on the platform after a long hiatus. Apparently there was a weird bug with our account but Monique connected us with Mira and Mira brought it all home. We used to be @thinkgeek once upon a time, way before the @gamestop acquisition. So we know how awesome this platform can be. Now we’re back with a cool project from @AMCGlobalMedia and @WalkingDead_AMC to bring prop-derived collectibles to fans of all 11 seasons of the original show. They have a huge following here and we’re excited to share this collection with the world. Anyhoo, just a big thanks to the people on the front line. Not that you need any more spaceship parts but if you do you know who to call. We’re stocked up on Apollo and the Shuttle. šŸ˜…šŸš€ kickstarter.com/projects/min…
