WEDGEWOOD POLLS: "We built a fake polling firm with no real data to see if the media would catch it. Far too easy." A pollster that doesn't exist, cranking out numbers, and the big outlets printed every one. Wedgewood took credit for at least 18 polls this cycle. No history, no credentials, no real data. They called it a social experiment to see how easy it is to fool the press. Decision Desk HQ ran it. The New York Times ran it. The aggregators ran it. Fake numbers played straight across Georgia, Ohio, Texas and five more states. Then it got real. A phony Wedgewood poll had Michigan's Mallory McMorrow crashing to 9%, and she quit the Senate race right after. She says the money dried up and reporters pushed her to quit. "It was treated like a game." The problem was never one fake pollster. Nobody checked.

The media has allowed the entire Democrat Party to run a basement strategy for this entire midterm.

Love seeing a Republican who brings the pain to the leftist agenda. Brutal.
🚨 BREAKING: Mike Rogers is DECIMATING Abdul El Sayed in front of Michigan voters in a pure masterclass "He lied about being an Egyptian dual citizen." "Did you lie about his relationships with an organization that should give us all pause [Muslim Brotherhood]? Yep, he did." "Did you lie on your resume? Yep, did. You lied about being a physician." "He lied about some of his stances on these positions as he's flipped again." "This is a pattern that we need to understand!" Rogers is going RAPID FIRE mode and everyone sees Abdul's lies! 🔥 This is the same case his new ad makes about Mohammed's family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and now he's saying it straight to voters' faces Michigan's Senate seat could decide who controls the Senate VOTE RED, MICHIGAN.

Yeah. The polls are crap. GOP holds the Senate.
💥NEW: NBC's Steve Kornacki *DUMPS COLD WATER* on The Today Show viewers' hopes of Dems winning Senate💥 Kornacki noted Democrat leads in key Senate races are "tenuous" — and that polling frequently underestimates Trump voters. He asserted Republicans now confidently view polls where Democrats have slight leads as likely GOP victories. Kornacki gave specific examples, such as Ohio and Iowa. Remember the infamous Ann Selzer Iowa 2024 poll? Kornacki particularly highlighted the Kansas Senate race in 2020. He said the Democrat was polling well — but Republican Roger Marshall ultimately smoked her in a landslide. Marshall is now supposedly polling extremely tightly against his Democrat opponent once again. Kornacki also pointed out that even blue states like Michigan and Minnesota appear remarkably close in polling. He reminded viewers that Abdul El-Sayed barely won his primary after polling projected a huge victory. Due to the tightness of these Senate races, underestimating Republican turnout by even a small margin could make all the difference. Frank Luntz also recently warned Trump voters "don't respond" to pollster phone calls and asserted he was "skeptical" that polls were accurate. Nobody is buying the polls anymore. Democrats could be in for a rude awakening in 2 weeks.

When was the last time you were right about anything?
What annoys me about the polling error debate is that there's a genre of commentators who seem to assume that everyone in the industry has been in a coma since 2014.

What amazes me is that we've made it this far in the election cycle, mere weeks from election day, and we still don't know what the Democrats' agenda is if they win. They have not proposed a single solution to anything. I mean, think about it. That's just stunning. For instance, what is the Democrats' plan to reduce the cost of gasoline? Nobody knows. What is their plan to reduce the cost of groceries? Nobody knows. What is their plan to secure the border? Nobody knows. And the media has managed to never even ask them.

MINNESOTA'S 50-YEAR BLUE STREAK IS CRACKING! KORNACKI: "Republicans think they can finally flip Minnesota, and this Medicaid fraud scandal might be working against the Democrats." That's NBC's own numbers guy saying it on the Today Show, not some MAGA podcast. Minnesota hasn't voted Republican for president since 1972, the longest blue streak in the whole country. But it's an open Senate seat now that Tina Smith is out, and it's Michele Tafoya, the old Sunday Night Football sideline reporter, against Peggy Flanagan, Walz's lieutenant governor. Hanging over all of it is a Medicaid fraud scandal that blew up on Walz's watch, the kind of thing that moves the people in the middle. Trump already cut the margin to about 4 points in 2024. An open seat and a fraud scandal is how a 50-year streak finally snaps. Let's go!

This isn't even the first one. Back in August a mystery outfit called Median Strategies pumped out fake polls on the Wisconsin, Nevada and LA races, same social experiment excuse. It's a pattern now.

Real people put a year and a half into McMorrow's campaign. Volunteers gutted, donors gone, reporters telling her to pack it in, all off a number somebody made up. Her words: it was treated like a game.

Essentially, in this election, Republicans are going to vote for Republicans and Democrats are going to vote for Democrats. The great unknown is Independents. Now the pollsters will tell you that independents have shifted to hard left. But are these the same Independents that were polled in 2024, or is this just a whole new group of people that are calling themselves Independent this cycle? In other words, have the attitudes of Independents shifted, or merely those calling themselves Independent? If many of the Independents in 2024 have now self-identified as Republicans because they're afraid of the DSA, and many of the Democrats from 2024 now identify as independent because of the DSA, it can appear that you've got a major shift among independents away from Trump. But you don't. You're merely shuffling the deck. And if pollsters are saying that 42% of the electorate will be Independent, then they are in essence dramatically oversampling Democrats, since more Democrats are now identifying as Independent.
