Tuesday featured some of my favorite shots of a mean shelf cloud over water. This storm had the wind to back up the mean appearance. Saw a lot of trees and tree limbs down.

To say the solar eclipse was incredible is an understatement. Already planning for next year’s now. Got extremely lucky with clouds in Iceland. Chilled in Látrabjarg photographing birds until it was eclipsed time!

Much of central Illinois is the greatest chase terrain on Earth and you can fight me on that - there's a paved road leading to and a view of any storm you want. As a kid born & raised here I used to think I needed to hurry and grow up & "move to tornado alley", wherever that is.

Numerous trees and large limbs down across Berkley and Royal Oak. First pic is in Berkley and last 3 RO. @NWSDetroit
Severe storms generated a noticeable dust storm here at Belle Isle in Detroit. Estimated winds of 65mph as the storms moved through at 6:35pm. Some tree limbs down and a boat got blown by the storm and grounded. @NWSDetroit
Wednesday was another crazy chase in Illinois! Saw the Effingham and Charleston tornadoes. We got pretty close to the Effingham tornado as it hit the corvette museum. Still in awe at the vortices with the Effingham tornado.
