Eric Hoffer wrote this article about Israel almost 60 years go. It reads like it was written yesterday. "The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it, Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchmen. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese-and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis. Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world. Other nations when they are defeated survive and recover but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews. No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Negroes are executed in Rhodesia. But when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one remonstrated with him. The Swedes, who are ready to break of diplomatic relations with America because of what we do in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troop trains to Norway. The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. And Jewish resources. Yet at this moment Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally. We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us. And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general. I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish the holocaust will be upon us."

I realize you are a dishonest POS who understands this is pure bigotry because you have noted it as such when throwing the label at others in the past. See below: But in case there are any good faith individuals that don’t understand why it’s pure Jew-hatred to try to blame Jews and military aid for Americans not being able to afford groceries: it’s because the entire premise is based on lies specifically meant to demonize the world’s only Jewish state and their overwhelmingly Jewish supporters for problems that have nothing to do with them: The price of goods is overwhelmingly set by supply and demand. Inflation has been driven up by numerous factors, but especially out of control government spending. Which your candidate, Abdul El-Sayed wants to only increase and by a large margin. His policies would inevitably drive inflation up. More importantly, all aid spending barely has any impact on the price of groceries. It is just 0.2%-0.4% of the U.S budget. Even all defense spending (14%) is a small relative to the entitlements that you/El-Sayed support. It definitely isn’t taking money directly from Americans since we have a trillion dollar annual deficit that goes way beyond aid spending. But it gets worse. The foreign aid given to Israel is just a small percentage of that number. AND it definitely makes no sense to blame that aid for grocery prices since the aid to Israel has a unique component, whatever you think of it, where they are required to spend the money with American defense companies so all of it is reinvested in American jobs/American economy. But it gets even worse. The military aid to Ukraine, for example, has significantly exceeded that to Israel in the last several years. For the years 2023-2025, outlays to Ukraine for military aid are 3X that for Israel. So even if you’re a completely ignorant clown and somehow believe inflation of grocery prices is caused by military aid, why would you single out Israel instead of Ukraine or the general topic? We all know why… And that’s where you get exposed. You invented a lie that has no basis in reality to try to blame exactly one state for all the problem’s Americans face. At best, you can claim incredible ignorance. But rather obvious this is something much worse. And the fact that Abdul El-Sayed wants this message representing his campaign says a lot. (BTW a slightly less obvious smear would have been to blame the recent war instead of defense aid, but even that would be dishonest since it was an American president who made the call to go to war, there were plenty of good reasons to do so, and the resulting energy cost surge is a small % of prices, much less inflation impact) xitter.cf/canarymission/status/2…
If you think this ad is antisemitic, you’re in a cult and don’t know it. You think Israel is owed all the money it wants from US and if Americans don’t hand it over - without complaint - they’re antisemites. That’s insane, but you don’t realize it because you’ve lost your mind.

Yes, it’s time for a change. Time to vote out politicians like @AbdulElSayed who demonize and libel Israel, and excuse terrorism against Jews in the U.S. You have frequently libeled Israel recently as well, making it seem as if your past support was mere political maneuvering.
It's time for a change. Vote for leaders like @AbdulElSayed and @JocelynBenson who will work every day to make this country better.

Two days later, and this wrong, incorrect headline is still up from one of the country’s biggest news outlets. Two Israeli soldiers were killed. When we tell you mainstream media newsrooms are full of racist antizionists, this is yet another piece of evidence. They libel Israel.
BREAKING: Israel orders a “full lockdown” of the occupied West Bank after its military kills two Palestinians accused of launching an attack that injured five people near the city of Hebron. nbcnews.com/world/middle-eas…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post inaccurately states the attack injured five people; two Israeli soldiers were killed and three others injured when Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a military checkpoint near Hebron. timesofisrael.com/5-injured-2-cr… nbcnews.com/world/middle-e…

Between 850K-900K Jews were ethnically cleansed from Arab countries over several decades after WWII. No one discusses right of return or reparations. No one accuses those Arab countries of stealing land and pretends those Jewish families and their ancestors are entitled to it. That is actually the norm for refugees after conflicts. Most move on in other countries. The one exception is Palestinians. That’s why the UN has invented a separate definition of refugee that only applies to Palestinians and counts people who have never lived there and were born/grew up elsewhere as refugees. Because the entire point is to use that framing to advocate for the destruction of the current state there, not to deliver justice or freedom for Palestinians. That goal and the entitlement that comes with it is the main hindrance to actual peace and self-determination for the Palestinians who remain.
If you want to actually understand the ethnic cleansing and apartheid in the Middle East, pls watch this short video. The numbers speak for themselves.

Studying “Lashon Hara” in more depth to speak to students tomorrow, and realizing I am too often unwittingly or unintentionally guilty of it myself. Teaching others is such a great way to teach yourself.

Antizionism is a racist genocidal hate movement. Performative activism is narcissism.
NOW: Protesters outside Jerry Seinfeld show in Washington DC smash posters of Seinfeld and Israeli PM Netanyahu and condemn people on line to attend the event. They call Seinfeld part of a “propaganda campaign to normalize genocide.”

If Israel sneezes the BBC would report it as a genocidal tornado, but when rioters burn down Paris, attack police and loot, it’s described as “clashes.”

Very glad to see @ADL calling out the antizionist hate movement for what it is. Antizionism = Jew hatred.
Two recent incidents in NYC highlight a troubling pattern of antizionist activists targeting businesses over their ties to Israel. Palestine Action, an international, U.S.-sanctioned group, claimed responsibility for vandalizing a Capital One branch on the Upper East Side. Days earlier, vandals destroyed OMNY readers in Brooklyn. The ADL Center on Extremism examines the incidents and broader trend: adl.org/resources/article/tw…

LA mishpuch, go support Bella’s Bread and Butter on Melrose. Also, train self-defense and stay vigilant.
This morning, my friend’s kosher bakery, Bella’s Bread and Butter, experienced an antisemitic assault here on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. My friend’s husband got detained by the police for defending himself, his son who works with him, and his customers. Thankfully, he was released and the bakery is back to business. If you live in LA, please go and buy something from Bella’s. Their food is amazing and they make the best sourdough in town.

The rabbis teach us that 20% of Jews never left Mitzrayim, even if only in our minds.
Help get @abdulelsayed elected to the senate! Jewish safety depends on a real multiracial democracy—and Abdul is the one fighting to protect it. Get involved and help at abdulforsenate.com/vote go.abdulforsenate.com We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too. We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries. That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next. Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells. Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it. #abdulelsayed #democracy #jewish #midterms

AIPAC *are* Americans, Bernie. Stop with the inaccurate, antizionist language. AIPAC is right to spend money to defeat El Sayed, support Israel, and fight Iran, because those things make America better.
No. I’m not “scapegoating” AIPAC. You support Trump's illegal war in Iran. Americans don’t. You want taxpayers to spend billions funding the Israeli government. Americans don’t. Your super PAC is spending $9 million to defeat Abdul because he opposes your agenda. Unacceptable.

Horrifying footage from London today. A man punched two visibly Jewish women in the face, leaving one badly bruised, with reports of additional victims. Newly revealed documents show Jews facing roughly 10 TIMES the per-capita hate crime rate of Muslims.

My mother’s an opera singer and producer. I grew up going to operas. I could never imagine an opera singer being so unprofessional and classless as to unfurl a flag after a performance. It’s completely inappropriate. And there is/was no genocide in Gaza, you racist antizionists.
We are disturbed to learn that @CalgaryOpera has removed bass-baritone Gabriel Sanchez-Ortega from future performances of "Tosca" after he unveiled a Palestinian flag during the curtain call on opening night. Art is political, and artists should not be punished for expressing support for the Palestinian people as they face a genocide. This decision must be reversed.

A new consensus must be built in Western society that antizionism, and not just classical antisemitism, is out of bounds. That does not mean simply repeating that ‘antizionism is antisemitism’ or reducing, inaccurately, antizionism to classical antisemitism. It means making space precisely for a reckoning with antizionism itself and its exclusion from social legitimacy.
