For 14-year-old Hudson Omondi, the internet is more than a place to browse, it’s a gateway to knowledge, new ideas and the future he imagines for himself. But before his school was connected, accessing online learning meant relying on his parents’ phones or finding money for a cybercafé.
Through the Giga project, Hudson and his classmates can now access digital learning resources right from their school, while teachers use tablets and projectors to bring lessons to life. Connecting schools to the internet is helping give learners the tools, opportunities and choices to shape their future.
