11/2 6AM - Rainfall spreads from west to east today with scattered thunder in some spots. Precipitation chances persist through midweek with a widespread 1" of rainfall expected. More seasonable temperatures expected through the latter half of the week.

We are getting close to completing the I-90 project from Nodine to Dakota. Paving of I-90 westbound is done and crews will start the final work of rumble strip installation, striping and bridge cleanup. Project info: dot.state.mn.us/d6/projects/…

Paving is scheduled to begin the week of Nov. 2 on Highway 74 in Whitewater State Park. Crews have been busy replacing the culvert on the north end of the park. Once paving is completed, they will work on guardrail, signing and striping. dot.state.mn.us/d6/projects/…

Winona County Road 101 reopened to traffic west of Dakota. A good sign that the I-90 project is nearing completion! The I-90 lane closures continue to be in place while crews wrap up the final work.

Good news! If you travel through the I-90 and Highway 52 interchange southeast of Rochester, you'll see that both I-90 bridges are open, as are the ramps.
