I do not feel the need to provide commentary on every breaking news event, but occasionally, there are issues and individuals upon which it is impossible not to reflect deeply. The tragic death of Charlie Kirk one year ago was one of those events. Like 9/11, it will be a reference point for this generation. And it should cause us to consider the cause for which all of us are investing our lives. Charlie Kirk passed into eternity for standing for the truth. His race is run; it’s our turn. A few days after his passing, our West Virginia Capitol Plaza was packed, and the surrounding areas were filled with people who came to honor the legacy of Charlie Kirk. It was my joy to share Charlie’s favorite message - Christ! - and invite people to trust Him alone for eternal life. A host of people called on the Lord Jesus for salvation, and so many stayed after to pray and talk. The enemy has done much to distract from the spiritual hunger that surged in the subsequent days, but God’s people must keep their eyes on the Lord Jesus and that which is eternal.

Are you a believer? Every good thing God does starts when you believe on His Son for salvation. To have faith in Jesus means more than giving mental ascent to Him. Biblical faith can be described as a definite dependence on Christ. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
