Easy #teachertip - zip tie these little “4 Inch Garden Slotted Mesh Net Cups” to desks from Amazon. They hold water bottles off the floor (no kicking over) and off the desk (away from technology) put close enough students don’t have to get up to get them. Worked for me last year!

A noisy classroom is a learning one! 🎉
One popular strategy to get your Ss talking is the “turn and talk” method.
🗣Your Ss turn to a classmate near them & discuss the problem or concept.
What strategies do you use to encourage meaningful classroom discussion?🤔

❤️ if you heard some of these "math talk" sentence starters in your school community this year.

ALT Student handout with the header "Let's talk math!" Beneath is a grid of sentence starters including "The strategy I used was" and "I wonder if." Students place a chip on a starter when they use it. When they run out of chips, they wait for others to speak.
