2 years ago, you sent me to Parliament to represent Esher and Walton. 17,000 pieces of casework and 260 parliamentary speeches later, I’ve delivered where you’ve asked me to. From your doorsteps to Parliament... my focus has been simple: listening to you, taking action, and fighting for you. We’ve achieved so much together and I am so proud to be your representative – but there is much more to do and this is just the beginning...

Lula says he is not willing ‘to be in anyone’s backyard’. Meanwhile Serbia - Putin’s last friend in Europe has gone. Democracy is a wonderful thing.

In the Budget on Wednesday the Government has the chance to help businesses grow and tackle the cost of living for hard working people. I’ve spoken to local businesses and families - and here are some of the things they and I want to see in the Budget next week. @LibDems

Monica Harding MP retweeted
The only thing stopping the PM having an honest discussion is Labour’s EU red lines. Removing them will get our economy growing and give us the chance to join the EU Migration and Asylum Pact. That’s how we create a controlled, fair and safe asylum system.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham says an "honest discussion" is needed on Britain readopting EU free movement "Freedom of movement had very significant challenges associated with it... but it was a type of immigration that perhaps wasn’t as difficult [as now]"

The Prime Minister is right - it’s time for an honest conversation about our relationship with the EU and where we are now as a country - our economy and our security - and what is best for the UK going forward.

If it didn’t exist - you would want to create it. For 81 years the United Nations has bought people together for peace, for development and for the dignity of humanity. In our troubled times - as conflicts rage throughout the world - we need it more than ever. London hosted the first UN General Assembly and Security Council meetings. The British have a proud legacy in its foundation. On UN Day let’s commit to its future in building our better future - for us and our children. #UNDay #UNDay2026 @unitednations

BBC report adds more horrendous detail to the fall of el-Fasher with all the hallmarks of a genocide. There is still no sign of resolution for the Sudanese people. The UK is penholder for Sudan on the UN Security Council; I will continue to urge Ministers that there must be a Sudan-wide arms embargo and to call out state actors who are arming the belligerents in this deadly conflict. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c54g…

I was out in Walton yesterday with the police and partner agencies as part of Operation Machinize, a National Crime Agency-coordinated operation targeting money laundering and the criminal use of cash-intensive high street businesses. The sale of illicit goods has a damaging impact on our communities, legitimate sellers, promotes anti social behaviour and act as a gateway to wider organised crime. We need it out of our highstreets. As your MP, I want to see our high streets remain safe, thriving places for residents and legitimate businesses. If you have information that could help, please contact Surrey Police via their website, speak to an officer face-to-face, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers. Your information can make a difference. Together, we can help keep our communities safe.

Weeks after another Thames Water outage, residents in West Molesey were left without water for days, again. All this while our bills keep rising and after a long hosepipe ban. Here’s me on Greatest Hits Radio explaining why the Government needs to put us out of our misery and take Thames Water into special administration.

The World Food Programme has been forced to cut food aid to half a million people in Gaza due to funding shortages. The UK Government is among those to cut its contribution by a whopping 78% - I asked the Minister why?

I have joined @PancreaticCanUK, alongside 44 other Parliamentarians, in urging the Government to accelerate treatment breakthroughs for pancreatic cancer. Better access to clinical trials and genomic testing can help more patients benefit from kinder, more effective treatments.

The @WFP has been forced to cut aid to 500,000 Palestinians in Gaza due to lack of funding. With Israel tightly controlling the entry of vital goods through crossings, this will only worsen the suffering that Palestinians are already enduring, in part due to so-called "dual use" restrictions, which I raised with the Foreign Secretary in September.

I welcome Andy Burnham’s commitment to Archie Goodburn on a national brain cancer clinical lead, a review of brain cancer progress, faster work on the rules for rare-disease medicines and a national cancer plan. These are exactly the things I have been asking for alongside patients, charities and dedicated campaigners. This is an important step forward but not the end of the road. This review must not be used to kick the can down the road. I will continue to press the Government to ensure we see real change, so those facing brain cancer are no longer left without hope or options. @BrainCancerJust @BrainTumourOrg @BrainTumourSupp @braintumourrsch

Today Archie Goodburn is meeting Andy Burnham, which he rightly calls a "unique opportunity for change". I’ve written to the Health Secretary with cross-party colleagues in support of Brain Cancer Justice, calling for a national lead for brain cancer, protected investment in brain tumour research and routine collection and storage of fresh-frozen tumour tissue.

Another day, another Thames Water failure… Residents of West Molesey faced days with little to no water only two weeks after a burst water main. I have written to Chris Weston, the CEO of Thames Water, about the continued disruption to water supplies in Esher and Walton. Read my letter to see what I had to say👇

Brexit cost an estimated £90 billion in lost tax revenue in 2025 alone. That money could have eased the tax burden on working people and funded our NHS and public services. I welcome the Prime Minister’s opening to Europe, but he must go further. Rejoining the single market and a customs union would bring growth and prosperity back to Britain. With war in Europe and an unpredictable White House, our security also depends on standing with our closest neighbours - cross-border problems need cross-border solutions.

I am horrified to see the latest flash flood in Nepal, which is still coming to terms with the devastating floods that happened in August. The Foreign Secretary must set out what his plan is to support Nepal as it rebuilds and what the UK will be doing to help prevent the degradation of the Himalayan ecosystem, which would have a serious impact on UK national security.

Another Monday morning, and residents in West Molesey still can’t rely on Thames Water… This comes two weeks after the big burst main that left homes across the constituency with no water at all. This is completely unacceptable. I’m demanding answers from Thames Water about what’s causing the delay in getting water back to people’s homes.
