Morton hosted Dunfermline at Cappielow and were 2-0 down within four minutes, and would lose 2-1. The cameras caught the a very Scottish moment, with a pie being thrown onto the park.
Not sure if it was due to the score or the pie.

Another monsoon at Cappielow where Morton drew 0-0 with St. Mirren, with an Andy Ritchie penalty sticking in the mud in the 2nd half.
Results elsewhere meant that our part-time team went top of the Premier Division. 👏

In a monsoon at Cappielow, Morton faced Celtic (who had the chance to go top with Aberdeen's game being off).
Mo Johnston gave the visitors the lead but a Jim Gillespie double gave us a very unexpected 2-1 win.

Morton conceded early but went on to stick 5 goals past Partick Thistle (Oliver, McHugh 2, Iredale & Tidser).
A floodlight shattered after the 5th and there was a frantic collection of bits of glass to ensure the game finished.

Airdrie keeper John Martin, always popular at Cappielow, was sent off in the first half.
After Derek Lilley scored the penalty, Morton then conceded an equaliser, and failed to test either of the outfield players who went in goal.

A rare weekend of goals galore in the Championship this weekend and absolutely tremendous wins for Dunfermline, Livingston and Raith Rovers who will all be aggrieved at being pipped to the coveted P&B Performance of the week.
A welcome three points for Ayr Utd as well but our PoTW absolutely has to go to @Morton_FC for inflicting a first home league defeat in about 6 years on Partick Thistle.
There is life in the old dog yet 👊🏻

Regardless of how the season turned out, this was one of the finest away demolition jobs I'd ever seen, as Morton won 6-1 in a top-of-the-table clash at Airdrie.
Video shows our 5th and 6th goals.

Probably the only time I went into a Morton v St. Mirren game confident of a win.
Thankfully, we at least have periscope footage of our goals from that 3-1 win, scored by Tam O'Ware, Ross Forbes and Gary Oliver.

Joe McKee's thumping strike and Denny Johnstone 's late winner saw Morton beat Dumbarton 2-1 at The Rock.

Lockdown football in a monsoon at Cappielow saw Morton come from 2-0 down very late on, to beat Ayr United 3-2 thanks to goals from Gary Oliver, Cammy Blues and Lewis Strapp (who also scored an og).

To the obvious delight of Arthur Montford, Andy Ritchie scores a late winner against Kilmarnock at Cappielow to give us a 3-2 lead to take to Rugby Park for the 2nd leg of our League Cup Quarter Final tie.

Morton 0-2 St Mirren
Frank McAvennie in action at Cappielow
Late Billy Stark & John McEachran goals, both from Ian Scanlon crosses, won it
Andy Ritchie ‘equalised’ with a free kick a minute after Stark’s opener but it was ruled out as free kick was indirect

Andy Ritchie scores his first goal for Morton.
Unfortunately, it was during a 5-1 doing against St. Mirren at Love Street, but things began to change for us after this game.

Nacho Novo broke from the Morton wall in the final minute, so the referee allowed St. Johnstone to re-take their free-kick, and knock us out of the League Cup Quarter Final.
