This series tells a beautiful story about an older man who spent his whole life lying to himself and his family, and who finally comes out to them. He then sets off on an adventure to find the man he truly loved, reminiscing along the way and finally telling the story of his first love with a man.
The main story is the grandpa's journey and his memories. The whole trip happens because of his quest for love. Yes, NH are main characters, but their friendship and their own struggles are not the main story. The BL storyline is.
Yet some of you are so focused on your expectations of NH as a ship that you're overlooking a beautiful queer story about finally living your truth, with supportive, non-judgmental family by your side. By making NH the center and calling the series queerbaiting, you're erasing the queer heart of it.

This series isn't about friends-to-lovers. Its main focus and main story line is a late coming out, finding an old flame, and a love that was missed. THE MAIN STORY IS THEE GRANPA STORYLINE. Nut and Hong aren't meant to be the center of attention here. Acting entitled to a pairing is a bit much. There isn't just one way to do BL, and not every character has to be gay. A series can be a BL and still have a second storyline about chasing your dreams and friendship.

For everyone still calling it queerbaiting after Jojo’s clarifications: respectfully leave my timeline. This is basically saying that two people can’t be close friends without it being sexual and that’s just fucking wrong. Are you calling John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s friendship queerbaiting? Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson? Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez? Literally anybody who has a friend that they are so close to that they love so much? Relationships come in many forms. Platonic love is a thing. It can be just as important as romantic love to a person. Don’t trivialize these relationships just because your favs aren’t kissing for your enjoyment. Realistic opinion: Portraying platonic relationships in a heartfelt beautiful way is better than those so-called BL series which overuse s*xual scenes just to attract viewers unneccessarily portraying queer characters as s*x addicts.
