motion perps are live now
you can now trade perpetuals on @Lighter_xyz directly through Motion with 0% fees
all markets available on Lighter Robinhood are also accessible through Motion
here's what's inside:
• see @fomo traders for each asset, their trades, positions, theses and the full feed in one place
• trade perps with fast execution and 0% Motion and Lighter fees
• smart money layer for every asset — track the largest positions, their entry points and trades
• set your own take profit and stop loss for every position
• open and close positions in one click
• use Motion Alpha feeds and analytics without switching between terminals
when you close a position, you can withdraw your funds back to your wallet or leave them on Lighter for your next trades or transfers
transactions are still signed locally on your device. Motion doesn't hold your private keys
the idea is pretty simple
we want to bring trading, analytics and everything else into one interface without making you pay extra terminal fees
still a lot to improve, but perps are now part of Motion too

gmgm everyone
the next version of Motion is almost ready. planning to release it today
in the meantime, here’s a little preview of some of the changes
→ completely reworked the profile pages
→ redesigned the bridge page to make it more familiar and easier to use
→ updated the wallet management page, including distributing and consolidating funds across multiple wallets
you can also route transfers through a hop wallet, with optional delays between transfers
quite a lot of work done on Motion today
first of all, spent most of today making trades faster across all chains, mainly by improving how we build, sign and send transactions
made a lot of improvements here, so i'd really recommend trying a few buys and sells yourself and seeing the difference
below are screenshots from my own tests on Robinhood, Solana and BNB
and we're still running with 0% platform fees, without even having our own dedicated nodes yet
and a few more things on Solana
→ added support for custom trading pairs, including tokens paired with assets other than SOL
→ upgraded to a paid Jupiter API plan and added it to our infrastructure
since we still don't have our own dedicated Solana node and we're still pretty early there, i'm trying to make the infrastructure less dependent on any single provider
there's actually a lot more i've been working on, but you'll find out about the rest when the next version drops
i honestly just couldn't go to sleep without giving you an update
didn't want you guys thinking the dev decided to take a sunday evening off 😃
as you probably know by now, weekends aren't really a thing at Motion
just wanted to share what i'm working on today
first of all, the next big version of Motion is already being built. really hoping i can get it out in the next few days
i don't want to reveal all my cards before the release, but let's just say a lot of the things you've been asking for, suggesting and waiting for are finally coming
i think this will be another important step towards making Motion ready for mass adoption
meanwhile, i'm also trying to keep up with all your DMs, bug reports and feedback
i see your messages and i'm trying to fix things as quickly as possible, even if i can't reply to everyone
right now i'm adding support for all custom @Pumpfun trading pairs, including those that don't trade against SOL
also making some changes to our charts. i want everything to feel smoother and more familiar, especially if you're coming from fomo, GMGN or other trading terminals
and there's something bigger i'm working on too
as you already saw, the first stage of our Balkan journey is over
we distributed more than 1 ETH to users who simply registered and started trading on Motion
thank you to everyone who participated
i think the competition worked pretty well. people were trading, coming back, competing with each other
but we need to go further than that
keeping existing traders active is one thing. bringing completely new people to Motion and giving them a reason to try it is another
and i want these two things to work together, complementing each other
so i'm now building a new rewards system that should help with both
i won't go into the details yet, but i'm spending quite a lot of time on this right now
never stop building 👩🍳
Hood Morning everyone
this is a win for our entire community
i kept building, you kept holding and supporting me
honestly, every single day i can feel just how strong our community is
it’s only been 14 days, and i genuinely appreciate every single one of you
i think crossing the $1M market cap milestone already opens new doors for Motion
come join us, trade on Motion, and stop paying for the massive marketing budgets of big trading terminals through your trading fees
never stop building
yeah, AI audits flag a lot of things
a lot of it was just noise, but there were also some important findings. i went through every single one, fixed the real issues, tested everything, and the updated vault is already live
and i ran this audit publicly on purpose. i've been trying to keep everything transparent since day one
the entire vault is open source. anyone can build it themselves and verify the hash against motion.gift
you don't even have to trust me. you can check the code yourself
and i want to remind everyone how Motion actually works
your trading keys stay in your own browser. transactions are signed locally, with your confirmation. our server never holds your private keys, never decrypts them and can't independently sign transactions for you
even if our server gets compromised, it doesn't have access to your keys to simply move your funds
and this is also why i don't plan to add automatic copytrading to Motion
to execute trades while you're away, a platform needs some form of delegated signing authority. that might be convenient, but it's not the security model i want for Motion
i'm not saying other platforms are doing something wrong. it's just a different approach with different trade-offs
i chose local keys, local signing, open source code and public security reviews
and the next step is a full manual audit
I want to get these things right from the beginning
our first security audit via @v12sec is complete
really hope this helps more people feel confident about using Motion
i'm glad we took this step so early
the review helped identify an issue that i've already fixed and tested
the updated Vault code is on our GitHub
anyone can check it
github.com/motiongift/motion…
already pushed another update to the Android APK
→ added seamless login through Privy, now working exactly like in the browser version of Motion
→ also fixing the issue with candles lagging behind after buys and sells
turned out it was related to public RPC limits, so i upgraded to a much larger @Quicknode plan. hopefully this should finally fix it
still working on a few more things
really happy with Motion's analytics
even in this market, we already have traders coming back and trading on Motion every day
also nice to see more and more people starting to trade through the mobile version
we're holding up pretty well
and just think about it. full iOS and Android apps are coming soon, we haven't even started marketing yet
if liquidity comes back, especially to Robinhood Chain, i think it'll be a completely different game
motion.gift/analytics
finally delivered the first Android APK version of Motion
this is still a test build, so you don't have to install it right now
a lot of time and effort went into this. i've already submitted the app to the store and really hope the review process won't take too long
but if you can't wait for the Play Store release, you can already try the Android version here:
motion.gift/extension
i'd really appreciate any feedback
i'm sure there are still bugs. it's a test build after all, and i'm ready to fix whatever comes up as quickly as possible
also made a lot of changes under the hood today to improve execution speed, as i mentioned earlier
try now 😃
constantly trying to improve both the quality and speed of Motion
and just a reminder, we're signing all trades locally on your device, while some requests are still going through public nodes
once we move to our own node, i genuinely believe we'll be faster than any other terminal
also a few updates:
→ you may have noticed that the new design is gradually getting better
→ added a wallet balance chart so you can easily track how your balance changes over time
→ still working on fixing more bugs and improving the overall experience
also continuing development of the iOS and Android apps. both are already in the final stages before submission
792ms speed buying test in $MOTION @motiongift
I'm liking it, better than fomo ngl
Motion must be there
just look at how fast we're moving and the results will speak for themselves
i genuinely believe we're moving faster than anyone else in the PONS launchpad ecosystem [@MEADGod hello, we are here]
the level of tech we're building and the speed at which we're shipping it can genuinely surprise anyone
11 days of constant, meaningful updates focused on making the product better every single day.
and the foundation is almost complete
now look at the real community around $MOTION.
show me another example in today's market where most people hold positions for seconds or minutes, but Motion holders have been holding for weeks because they believe in the project and in me.
and i believe in them just as much. i'm genuinely grateful for every single one of them
now look at the actual product metrics and find me something comparable at a $450K market cap:
→ $230K+ trading volume across 2,840 trades since launch
→ $181K of that volume in just the last 7 days
→ 453 different tokens traded
→ more new traders joining and volume growing every day
anyone can verify it
motion.gift/analytics
we're still small on the outside, but incredibly strong on the inside
and that's what matters most
gm everyone
another major Motion update is coming
already in the testing stage
hoping i can ship it today
This is probably the most important update we’ve ever shipped
It shows where motion is going and where we’re heading
Why motion doesn’t need a 1% fee to exist. How it earns: 0.1% trading fees, $10 memberships, a $50 data API for builders, integrations of new launchpads and chains, and advertising
Why robinhood:0x061732dc141e0a2d37f5fa91cf5343f24064e60f matters so much in our ecosystem. Every membership is paid in robinhood:0x061732dc141e0a2d37f5fa91cf5343f24064e60f and burned, and the 0.1% builders pay on every routed trade goes into buying back and burning. Founding traders and holders at the snapshot keep trading for free
I’ve put it all on one page, the motion manifesto. Yes, it’s a bit long. But it’s the real logic and the exact mechanics everything here will run on, with a burn calculator and a monthly report on every burn and buyback
I hope the future of the product is a lot clearer for everyone now

I think this is where $MOTION shines the most, @fomo is currently down because of some global Php shit
$MOTION is non custodial so you don't expose your main wallet, it generates a proxy wallet for you, this is what @HyperliquidX is doing too

today i've been working on preparing the native iOS and Android apps for submission to the app stores
hopefully i'll be able to give you early access through TestFlight or Android beta testing pretty soon, for anyone who wants to try them
there are still some things i need to fix and adjust to meet the app store requirements, but i'm actively working on it
also shipped the new desktop design today
if you prefer the old one, i've added a button to switch back to the classic version. i'll keep improving the new design too
work hasn't stopped for a single day
i basically wake up, build, grab something to eat, sleep and get back to building
been doing this for 10 days straight now
the pace is actually crazy when you compare what Motion looked like in v1 to what we have now in v6
and i'm definitely not slowing down
good catch
this is exactly what i've been talking about
trading fees are brutal for the retail
starting with $1,000 and making 10 trades, each one breaking even before fees
with 1% fees on buys and sells:
after 1 trade → $980
after 5 trades → $904
after 10 trades → $818
with Motion's 0% platform fees:
after 1 trade → $1,000
after 5 trades → $1,000
after 10 trades → $1,000
that's $182 saved, or 18.2% of your entire starting deposit
and you didn't even lose anything on the trades themselves
now imagine making 20, 50 or 100 trades
that's why i'm building Motion
0% platform fees, without giving up speed or functionality
Just kind of wanted to highlight why having a zero fee trading terminal is so important, take a look at this trade i took for example using @motiongift
Although i barley made any money on it (reality of most trades) i didnt lose money on it due to zero fees
If you take in multiple trades a day like i do, you’ll notice your portfolio go from 200 down to 100-150 even if you barley lost any money and mostly broke even
Where did your money go? In ur trading terminals pocket, having a product like @motiongift around shouldnt be overlooked
robinhood:0x061732dc141e0a2d37f5fa91cf5343f24064e60f
some updates on what's going on with Motion
today i spent most of my time rebuilding the desktop homepage, trying to bring it closer to the mobile app i released yesterday
also fixed a bunch of bugs
i'm not really happy with the new desktop design yet, so if i release it (not today), i'll probably add a switch between the old and new versions so you can choose which one you prefer
now about a few more important things
security audit
a lot of you have been asking about this, and i completely understand why. i think it's one of the biggest things holding us back from mass adoption
huge thanks to the PONS team for helping me get in touch with the right people
i'm already talking to auditors. hopefully all will be done this week 🤞
$MOTION utility
the timeline has shifted a bit, and not entirely because of me
my original plan was to publish the full manifesto after moving Robinhood trading to our own RPC node and preparing the infrastructure for other builders
a big part of the utility i'm planning is opening up our infrastructure and APIs so other developers can build on top of Motion
i wanted to have this working before explaining the whole model
unfortunately, Hetzner has been keeping me waiting for 5 days and still hasn't delivered the dedicated server i ordered
still trying to sort it out
ecosystem support and marketing
i've also been in touch with the PONS team. apparently we're still too small for official reposts and promotion. they want to see a higher market cap first
similar story with FOMO verification. they want a higher market cap and more trading volume
i know we'll get there, just might take longer than expected
we already have over 210 registered users through Privy, and i still believe the product and token will help each other grow
i've also asked my teammate to build a separate marketing tool to help spread the word about Motion (more info soon)
i want more traders from other chains and terminals to discover what we're building
it's only day 8 or 9, and i've been building pretty much nonstop since launch
some things are taking longer than expected, but i'm still shipping every day and trying to get the foundation right
i really believe we can make this work with enough effort and your support
thanks everyone
gm everyone
today is mostly a bug fixing day
thanks to everyone who's been testing Motion and sending feedback. i'm already working through everything and fixing the issues you guys reported
also preparing a cleaner desktop version. still a lot of UI improvements i want to make
and as many of you requested, i've added @JoinProxima bundle detection
you can now see launch bundles, connected wallets, how much they bought, sold, still hold and their PnL directly on token pages
more improvements coming throughout the day
back to building
