Sad seeing people doing tutorials using MCP to create things I ve done years ago with native c4d tools within minutes.
Everyone is so eager to expose themselves, even if they are in no position to share anything meaningful or have any actual work to back it up.

The Remaining View is a simple idea, with the intention that the blind doesn’t simply cover the landscape, but that the landscape reorganizes itself around what is still visible. The tree bends, the sun moves, and time passes. Instead of hiding behind the horizon, the sun becomes the moon, rolling through the grass.
It’s still a piece in evolution, and I’m continuing to push the technology behind it, but I really liked the simplicity of the idea and couldn’t resist sharing it already.
While browsing some older stuff, I discovered some of last years' explorations for HP laptops, done with Elastic and Duncan Elms.

Cinema4D MCP update:
As much as it serves my needs, I will steer away from everything AI.
The fact that AI tools leave a lot of people I know without jobs, is not something I wanna stand behind. Its not about how useful it is, or how it will be in the future. I stand firmly against replacing anyone at this point.
With all honesty, personally I am covered. Using AI or not, I am still very busy, made already a lot and will always have an edge over people with no creative thinking.
But I cannot be looking over myself only. I honestly feel shitty... I feel shitty because I REALLY wanna have my ready 3D models/unwrapped etc and pay no one.. and that feels very wrong to me... the desire to actually skip someone I could hire, rubs me wrong.
I do not care if the future will be like that: it is not a future I wanna be part of is what I am trying to say as we already started forgetting how unethical and illegal all of what is going on right now in the world is.
Is new Cinema4D MCP useful? Yep. Fact.
MCPs have been around for a while. They are the bridges that connect our 3D Softwares with AI GPT models. Maxon makes -reasonably in my opinion- the step to add this natively to stay ahead of the curve. It is business, and many times business is ugly. I would do the same if I were down that path, I must admit.
In many years from now everything will be forgotten; how we went from Dall-e to having agents in 3D software doing everything for us. New generations will be definitely lost, definitely way less critical -if unable to think for themselves at some point. Fact.
Though, I will not judge people on making a living. It is extremely hard for anyone coming into the industry right now while having no generic knowledge of AI tools. Fact.
Just dont forget the fundamentals friends. Every tool, needs artistry. Fact.
Nothing is made out of thin air. Going into a market that potentially will be saturated fully within the next decade, would require skills more than ever to stand out.
I will keep talking about AI, keep showcasing uses of certain things just so everyone is up to date. Responsible use is all I am asking from everyone. It is quite tempting to just make money if possible, but the way one makes it, stays within.
Too long too read or stay focused while doing so?
I think I prefer it this way, rather than Claude synopsis. I think I prefer my semi broken English, my grammar mistakes and all the things that make me unique, make me human.

Been awhile since I posted, figured I'd start again with one of my favourite projects.
Had a lot of fun building the landscapes and snow setups for this piece in Houdini, with some awesome direction from the team at Hello Scholar.
