Make it make sense: Rolesville alum Braden Atkinson is leading ALL Division I football players in passing with 2,604 yards as a true sophomore at Oregon State. He was not recruited by nearby ECU, even though Rolesville is a known power and quarterback factory. Meanwhile, ECU has lost back-to-back games in embarrassing fashion in OT.

Oregon State has the country’s leading passer and receiver on the same offense. I had a front row to watch this show vs Texas Tech. A true freshman wide receiver nobody knew went for 240 yards that day, and I said it right then, a star had been born.
