coquitlam, delta, and granville need ndp-lib switchers to vote lib to beat con. nanaimo needs to not split the ndp-green vote which is looking even, ndp has the momentum but greens are the incumbent so unsure the strategy there
the bc ridings that are tossups with cpc are coquitlam, delta, vancouver granville, and nanaimo according to 338canada
that is if you prefer a lib gov to a con one. some progressives will as soon let cons win than support the only centrist libs.. i prefer in order, of realistically possible outcomes, a lib-ndp minority, then lib maj, then any arrangement of cons being in power
votetogether.ca in 2015 helped coordinate strategic voting against the cons.. i wish that happened every election (under first past the post).. without coordination you're gambling on throwing your vote away in ridings with a lib ndp split against a competitive con
my angle on cdn poli is - we need proportional representation for elections to be fair. libs never championed it and would only accept ranked which funnels 2nd choices to them. until then, strategic voting is imperative to beat cons wherever possible. we need more riding polls.
too bad their aren't any strategic voting initiatives to coordinate voting against the cpc. only riding level predictive model is 338canada.com/districts.htm .. so let's use that then - vote for the lib or ndp that's ahead in your riding to ensure another non-cpc minority. #elxn44
don't appreciate pundits commenting on the look of the color coded geographic map without regard for population.. check out a cartogram instead and see how many people actually live in cities. only 20% live rural..
it was bothersome to see rosemary barton shush andrew coyne's point about misrepresentation due to lack of proportionality calling it shop talk, as if it's not a concept fit for mainstream discussion
A lot of conservative commentary is making a fuss about the cons marginally winning the popular vote. But they're not acknowledging that a large majority is voting against cons and a portion of that bloc that is satisfied with liberal despite voting for another progressive party
so for eg even if they got the most seats they'd need ndp or bloc to sell out, and ndp indicated they wouldn't this time. so a con government isn't as likely now in canada.

I'm going to fight with everything I have to make sure this election is ACTUALLY the last election under first-past-the-post. #elxn43 #InItForYou
