I was today years old when I learned Manitoba has its own time zone abbreviation, MBT. We eliminated changing the clocks twice a year and somehow made telling time even more confusing. Impressive, really.

Manitoba didn’t change the clocks and I’ve apparently lost the ability to tell time. My phone says 9:35. My laptop says 8:35. I’m in my own house with jet lag.

I think the math is correct, starting Sunday November 1 NFL game times in Manitoba will be 1pm, 4:30pm and 8:15pm. It will be like we are on Eastern time those 6 months of the year. From a Jets perspective I believe the California games will start at 10:30 Winnipeg time.

Tonight marks the last time the late game of Saturday Night Hockey will start at 9 PM in Winnipeg until March 20. Starting next Saturday, it’s 10 PM puck drops for the next four and a half months. Definitely going to be an adjustment.

A new era of NFL Sundays in Manitoba! With the end of the fall time change, NFL games will now start an hour later than we’re used to. Early games at 1 PM, late games at 4:05/4:25 PM and Sunday Night Football at 8:20 PM.
