Surely, Yan Diomande has done ENOUGH to deserve the starting LW spot at Real Madrid. We have finally found a lineup that WORKS, and changing it just to accommodate Vinicius would be an absolute tactical disaster.
Yesterday, we praised Cucurella for surviving that left flank. But let’s be honest: Diomande was part of the reason he wasn't left fighting for his life alone. The boy tracked back, pressed, ran, and helped his team. Had Vinicius played, Yamal could have had a field day targeting that same space.
And the Mbappé running debate? I honestly don't care if Mbappé scores 50 goals a season without running himself into the ground. Give him a team that runs, presses, sacrifices, and creates space for him. DIOMANDE IS EXACTLY THAT KIND OF PLAYER.
