Excited to share the @RippleXDev Extensibility Team’s proposed vision for XRP Ledger Programmability! 🔊
Today’s announcement includes a blog post detailing our vision, and two specs. 🧵

Banks? On my XRPL?
RLUSD payments are becoming part of the banking infrastructure fintechs already use.
We’re partnering with @CrossRiverBank to integrate RLUSD on the XRP Ledger into its core banking platform, providing 24/7 settlement within payment networks and greater flexibility to settle intraday.

Five days in, Batch is ~15% of XRPL mainnet transactions and the #3 transaction type. 1.39 million Batch transactions from 1,876 accounts, mostly all-or-nothing arbitrage that only executes when profitable. People are also using it for atomic NFT swaps.

Thrilled to share that @DriveWealth is bringing @Ripple's stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments and digital asset custody onto its brokerage platform.
🔷 DriveWealth already enabled 24/5 trading. Now funding catches up: clients can fund and manage collateral accounts around the clock with RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, converting to cash in near real time, so capital isn’t sitting idle overnight or over a weekend.
🔷 This is a great example of institutional adoption of digital rails. One of the most trusted brokerage infrastructure providers in the market chose a regulated digital asset partner to modernize how money moves across trading, custody and settlement.
🔷 It started with a specific cross-border settlement challenge and quickly became a full-stack integration: settlement, custody, treasury, and prime brokerage.
🔷 Momentum is building: Regulated stablecoins are becoming core financial infrastructure, not a side experiment.
More to come at @RippleSwell on Oct 27-28. Congrats to the @DriveWealth and @Ripple teams in bringing this to life 🤝
Global investing is evolving. The infrastructure behind it should too.
We're partnering with @DriveWealth across RLUSD settlement on the XRP Ledger, cross-border payments, custody and prime brokerage to modernize how money moves across global markets.
Together, we're building a more connected, efficient and always-on global investing ecosystem. 💪🏼

Security remains our top priority for preserving trust in the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Sharing a few thoughts following yesterday's disclosure of the critical payments engine vulnerability reported by Veria AI.
First, this was a serious vulnerability, and we don't take that lightly. The bug had existed in the codebase for over a decade and could have allowed XRP to be created beyond its fixed supply. Fortunately, it was discovered through our bug bounty program before it could ever be exploited.
Second, our response was fast and coordinated. The team developed and thoroughly tested a fix, worked closely with validators to rapidly upgrade the network, and secured the ledger before public disclosure. I'm proud of how everyone came together to address the vulnerability and protect the XRPL network.
But there's a much bigger lesson here.
AI is fundamentally changing how quickly vulnerabilities can be discovered. We have to move even faster than before, especially with a codebase that's been around for over a decade.
This means we're doubling down in a few important areas:
* Proactive security: Strengthening our bug bounty programs, expanding AI-assisted vulnerability discovery/adversarial testing, and continuously improving testing across releases. This discovery reinforces why these investments matter.
* Addressing legacy tech debt: Working with our internal red team, external security researchers, and the XRPL Foundation to revisit longstanding assumptions in critical areas like payments engine, consensus, and P2P networking, guided by an updated threat model.
* Accelerating formal verification of critical areas: Continuing our work with CommonPrefix and the XRPL Foundation to apply formal verification to critical parts of the protocol, with the goal of uncovering deeper issues that other approaches could easily miss. We will build on the learnings from formal verification of the Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vault.
* Systemic hardening: Moving beyond individual bug fixes to identifying latent risks in older parts of the XRPL codebase and eliminating entire classes of vulnerabilities.
Our goal isn't simply to find more bugs. It's to systematically address the underlying risks and make the XRPL harder to exploit. As the XRPL's role in global financial infrastructure grows, so does our responsibility to protect it.
Security is never finished. We'll keep investing and improving alongside the broader XRPL community.

Today's vibe-coding project: a drag-and-drop builder for XRPL Batch transactions 🧱
Stack them up, sign, submit, and they land atomically. Every tx type comes straight from the node 🚀
(Obligatory “this isn’t production grade, use at your own risk”)

In the first hour of Batch being live on XRPL Mainnet: 1,275 Batch txs from 21 accounts, the first 29 seconds after activation. Already in use for atomic NFT swaps, swap + app fee in one tx, and RLUSD-funded fees, plus 1,200+ all-or-nothing arbitrage attempts.

Permission Delegation, Dynamic MPTs, Atomic Batch, Confidential Transfers & Sponsored Fees take XRPL from tokenizing to moving value the way institutions need: fast, privately, atomically - unlocking collateral mobility on XRPL.

Programmability on the XRPL keeps moving. We just cut the ninth release of the Smart Escrow Devnet, and it's a big step toward launch. Details below.

I think fee revenue is a terrible metric since it measures how much friction the chain *didn't* remove. If you represent the people who collect the fees, then fees are great. But what about the people who *pay* the fees? Who cares about their interests?
A licensed central securities depository is recording securities ownership on a public blockchain for the first time — on the XRP Ledger. 🇧🇷
CSD BR is partnering with Ripple to bring Brazil's regulated capital markets onchain, starting with BTG Pactual fund shares, secured by Ripple Custody. ripple.com/ripple-press/csdb…

The most expensive thing in cross-border payments isn't the fee. It's the cash you have to leave sitting at the other end.
Firms prefund the far end because settlement is slow. On XRPL it settles in ~3-4 seconds for a fraction of a penny, and that buffer goes back to work.
Years in FX and HFT make you allergic to idle capital. Talked it through with @beincrypto, plus RLUSD at $2B+ and where AI agent payments are live today:

This is the first time the XRP Ledger is publicly being integrated into core financial market infrastructure of this scale.
Brazil is the 10th largest economy in the world. CSD BR is one of two entities approved to operate by the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) Brazil’s core clearing, settlement and securities depository infrastructures, with more than BRL 22 trillion in registered assets.
The journey starts with BTG Pactual fund shares, with a path toward bringing major parts of Brazil’s fixed-income market on to the XRPL.
CSD BR chose the XRPL because it was purpose built for financial use cases and can integrate with existing regulated infrastructure out of the box.
As & when this scales I believe it can be a larger growth opportunity for the XRPL than all other previous opportunities combined.
We’re excited to keep building alongside the exceptional CSD BR team. And today, XRPL is the only blockchain in the stack.

xrpld v3.4.1 is out. There is a Batch fix (no loss of funds), and voting for Batch has been reset to align with the fix. Batch is now scheduled to be activated 2 weeks from today.
xrpld 3.4.1 is being released with a Batch fix and stability improvements.
We’re asking validators and node operators to upgrade as soon as possible. There has been no impact to mainnet, and no loss of funds.
There is also a new fix amendment, fixBatchV1_2, which addresses a minor issue with Batch that does not pose a risk to funds.
The amendment is marked as Default Yes. Both Batch and the fix amendment are in the activation period and set to activate in 2 weeks. A detailed technical report will be shared after the fix amendment has been activated.
