Minecraft Bedrock (Windows 10/11) running on Apple Silicon w/o Rosetta (FEX).
Playing with RTX & DLSS. Coming soon to Blockintosh.
Special thank you to @aaf2tbz for absolutely killing it with MetalSharp and helping directly w/ Blockintosh.
LittleBigPlanet still faces visual issues, so until then RPCS3 has no use for me.
RPCS3, the popular PS3 emulator, has received a graphics update for Apple Silicon Macs.
The update introduces a new Vulkan driver called KosmicKrisp, built on Apple’s Metal 4 technology.
- Fixes several graphics bugs.
- Adds Vulkan 1.4 support.
- Improves graphics compatibility on Apple Silicon Macs.
- Offers an alternative to the previous MoltenVK driver.
There are a few limitations: it requires macOS 26 Tahoe or newer and only works on Apple Silicon Macs.

An updated OpenGL -> Metal is massive.
My suspicions were right.
FEX + VKD3D-Proton or Mullion (DXMT + DX12) are slightly behind on performance, only in regards to DirectX12 features though (assuming this is centered around Vulkan level 12_1, then that would explain the memory leak in Mullion when enabling Vibrant Visuals).
With game mode enabled and Vibrant Visuals (set to performance), we do reach a solid 60-70 FPS on my M1 (whereas Rosetta & GPTK 4 brought me 65-90 FPS).
The frame difference with Vibrant Visuals off is hardly noticeable, but input. This is the most responsive I've seen inputs in-game. Dropping Rosetta is a much needed change.
I expect a Neo to have similar performance to this (M1 Air, 16GB). Mullion screenshots coming soon.
I'm now benchmarking MetalSharp-Wine 4.0 in Blockintosh, and I'm impressed actually with how much more stable FEX, Mullion, and VKD3D have gotten.
After further testing MetalSharp-Wine 3.0, we've experienced very bad memory leaks. For now, we'll stick to a private FEX + GPTK build, but look forward to MetalSharp in the future.
It is a very promising project, but it's not ready for GDK games it seems. Keep up the hard work Avery. Bedrock Edition launching through this out of the box is still a huge milestone.
VKD3D is more stable in metalsharp 4.0.
VV vs Fancy, no Game Mode (game mode is the only reason M1 & Neo users aren't dying trying to play this)
Oh and wine doesn't crash when we change rendering modes ingame
Mullion still has high ram usage as seen per screenshots (keep in mind this is a 16GB M1)
VV vs Fancy.
VV is losing some frames through Mullion (DXMT w/ DX12 support).
Fancy (and Simple) still run at a stable 60fps, even with higher memory usage. I'm not too confident Game Mode will improve Mullion w/ Vibrant Visuals, but I will keep you guys updated.

We had paired it with FEX, and got launching working. Will keep updated
