I don't use Figma anymore.
Grok bot is our chief design engineer.
I didn't hire anyone. I set up a grok bot on @bot and gave it a title: chief design engineer.
It doesn't ship for me. I still approve every design, but it does basically everything else.
Last week, it dug through our data, found two design flaws, and shipped an update.
Since shipping:
Our platform engagement grew by +22%
Traffic quickly grew by 10%.
Here's what it actually does every week:
- turns drop-offs in our analytics into one design for me to approve on @paper
- studies the best apps to see what's working
- writes up every idea in @linear with the problem and the fix
- tells me when a design is good enough so i don't overpolish it
- waits for my pick before anything ships
It's not magic. some designs are meh and I tell it so.
I just pick one.
Nice take 💯
My take: SaaS is dead. Software is charity now, make money elsewhere.
No one can make $$ selling the same features for years anymore.
Instead:
- Use good software to collect user data and sell data.
- Use good software to deliver outcome and sell outcome.
- Arbitrage tokens under the guise of selling software - buy bulk, sell retail.
- Use good software internally to drive your own margin higher for your services/products
- Build RSI agent in a domain that has the fastest learning loop so it has the most, latest expertise: e.g. a marketing agent that knows the latest tricks to get viral in X coz it's doing it for others every day and learn and evolve.
- Give away all your features for free, it's futile anyways. Open source them. Make money elsewhere.
Dario says AI could cost under $1 for restarting a Mac and tens of millions for breakthrough drug design advice.
I feel software pricing is heading there too - paying per result instead of per seat or per month? 👀
Dario Amodei: some tokens Claude produces are worth a few cents, others could be worth tens of millions of dollars.
His examples:
1. Telling someone to restart their Mac: the model has said it 10 million times, worth a dollar or less
2. Telling a pharma company to move an aromatic ring to the other end of a molecule: potentially tens of millions
3. Expect pay-for-results pricing, or labor-like pricing by the hour
4. It's a new industry, so many models will be tried
Today pricing is simpler: per the S-1, usage-based pricing was 80% of H1 2026 revenue and subscriptions 20%.

Create software that depends on human participation.
Document signing is a good example. This category won’t get eaten by AI, and no serious company is just going to “vibe code” it.
These businesses are safe for the next few years at least.
The Apollo report says AI hasn't moved profits for most companies outside big tech.
Thoughts?
I feel outside big tech, adoption is still very early and the one's using it - do it more from a productivity angle rather than profit optimisation.

I think I had heard Levels and Marc long back about affiliate programs.
We implemented the same. It's one of the biggest channels for us at this point.
40% of every payment, for as long as your referrals pay ♥️

I made an affiliate program for MailCheap:
- 30% of every payment, for as long as your referrals pay
- Paid monthly by bank transfer, from $100

Very soon we'll have Buy-Now-Pay-Later and Credit loans for AI usage.
AI Credits will be the new currency!
I remember when people wrote specs. feels like that's the skill that's back. the code shows up fast now, but if you can't explain what done looks like in 5 lines, the agent builds the wrong thing just as fast
if you're an early team, today's a good day to check one thing. could you rotate every prod key in an hour without the one person who set it up? if not, start by writing down where they all live
He did say that 😂
