Great work from colleague and friend @Michell61905693!! Amazing research on in-vitro development from livestock stem cells 👏👏

New preprint!
These elongating embryo-like structures formed entirely from sheep stem cells in vitro.
They develop neural tubes, somites, neurons, and kidney progenitors — modeling post-gastrulation trunk development.

After all the hard work, excited to share our published @dev_cell article on prediction and control of endoderm morphologies in #gastruloids ✨. Thanks to all involved, @IftachN, @LaraAvni and Chen Sacharen ! Full paper is available here sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Excited to share our latest work and my first article preprint! Tackling definitive endoderm divergence in the gastruloid model, and suggesting gastrulid-specific as well as global new interventions that will steer endoderm morphologies toward embryo-like ones.
Why are in-vitro embryo-like models so variable, while the embryo develops so robustly?
We try to tackle this in a new preprint, using the gastruloid model and morphogenetic progression of definitive endoderm (DE).
