Colton Herta had the same amount of points as Felix Rosenqvist in 2025, but Rosenqvist had the tiebreaker. Herta needs ONE MORE POINT in an FP1 session to get the super license.

Herta finished 7th in the standings, meaning he has 39 Super License points.

Confirmation from the FIA that Colton Herta doesn't have his Super License yet, and he needs another point There was an error on the IndyCar website at some point that put him in P6 in 2025 when he was actually P7. He has 39 SL points now after today's FP1 #F1 #MexicoGP

Colton Herta has completed the maximum distance of 100km in FP1 here in Mexico to secure his Super Licence. The Cadillac F1 Team and Herta have been working towards achieving the Super Licence all season, and the American driver will be able to race in F1, and rumours have been circulating about the Herta potentially taking over for Valtteri Bottas at the team. #MexicoGP

Absolutely Speechless… Last night at the Waltrip Brothers’ Charity Champions Dinner in Nashville, TN Darrell Waltrip completely surprised me when he gifted me his iconic No. 95 Mercury Cyclone.
