My only elections advice South Africa is this - just turn up and vote! There’s no perfect party, councillor or mayoral candidate. Local election is the most important because you’re choosing the level and quality of basic service delivery you want right at your home and in your community. You only get one chance, one say, and you’ll have to live with the result for the next five years.

If you don’t vote, you don’t get to complain. 🇿🇦🗳️ #LGE2026

The IEC & NATJOINTS makes it clear that as of midnight NO more political campaigning can continue or happen.
There can be no persuasion, campaigning and or intimidation on 4 November.
Every eligible voter must be given a fair opportunity to exercise their democratic right by being able to vote.
Anyone found to be contravening Section 76 of the municipal act will be deal with.
