We’ve raised a $45m Series A, co-led by
@foundersfund and The @OpenAI Startup Fund, to build cancer therapy that learns. Technology is rapidly changing medicine, but data loops and rapid adjustments are still largely missing. When you start cancer treatment, knowing whether what you’re doing is working is too slow. Clearly there is a better way. Build systems to watch cancer in real time, then feed that data into a system that itself can treat the disease. This seeds a future where, unlike drugs, we develop medicine that continuously learns to improve itself. We've been building neurotechnology and BCI platforms to do just that.

I’ve been doing this VC job for almost a year now - sharing some learnings.
Here’s a list of stuff that one needs to be good at (in no particular order)
- Ability to fundraise across different types of LPs (individuals, corporations, institutions)
- Communicate to LPs on a regular basis
- Meet founders every week
- Build conviction quickly (yes or no fast)
-Identify internal conviction model (what makes a deal worth pursuing)
- Build healthy relationship with your partners
- Grow your network of other investors across the country
- Get good at fund operations (manage capital calls, reporting, operating budget, etc.)
- Negotiate term sheets and navigate complex deals
- Tell the story of your fund (paid, owned, earned)
-Meet talented people that can potentially work at your portfolio startups
