Born-in-2005 strikers Shiogai Kento (VfL Wolfsburg / 2. Bundesliga) and Goto Keisuke (SC Freiburg / Bundesliga) both scored twice in a ๐ฉ๐ช DFB-Pokal head-to-head!
In the previous league match, Shiogai had a goal regrettably disallowed by VAR and missed the chance for his first goal of the season. Against the Bundesliga side Freiburg, he finally broke his goal drought by scoring his first and second goals of the season. Goto came on in the second half as a substitute for Suzuki Yuito and scored the equalizer and the winner, recording his fourth and fifth goals of the season.
Last season at Belgian side Sint-Truiden, Goto appeared in 40 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists. This season at Freiburg, he has mainly come off the bench and has already scored 5 goals in 11 appearances, performing as a super sub. Notably, 3 of those 5 goals have been headers, and his 191 cm physical presence is also proving effective on the German stage. If Croatian striker Igor Matanoviฤ were to leave, Goto could well become Freiburgโs starting striker in earnest from next season.
Although Ueda Ayase will miss the November match against Brazil due to an unfortunate injury, the two 21-year-old strikers are thriving in Germany. In particular, Shiogai looks set to get a World Cup revenge opportunity against Brazil.

The issue is that in a bad system, good people get forced out because they canโt accept the disgraceful standards.

Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) and Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) have jointly decided that Dakar Saudi Arabia 2027, scheduled from 1 to 15 January 2027, will not be held in the Kingdom, following recent developments in the region.
