was a pleasure speaking with Sokio! Thank you very much for having me on <3
huuuuuuuuuge fan of the @InsilicoTrading platform, best terminal out there and it's not even close - would strongly recommend you check it out if you haven't yet, they do really good work
"It's more about can you trade it than it is about can you understand it."
@nellyeeee joins the Insilico Terminal Podcast to talk about scalping Bitcoin with a VWAP rotational system and going from zero perp trades to trading it full-time in a year and a half.
We covered how Asia and New York trade differently, failed continuation, sizing into trades that are going against him, market orders and fees, and why he thinks anyone willing to put in the reps can do it.

wanna start off by saying I really appreciate the support and feedback from the sillyco interview, super sweet of you guys so thank you very much <3
if you watched that interview hopefully you remember me saying 2 things -
1. asia session FANTASTIC session for purely rotational trading
2. you can take multiple scratches on the same trade if you are ultimately able to nail the move and your pnl will look fine
this is exactly what that looks like
slept through nyo bc I was trading till late last night but while you might not like these whipsaw moves from a HTF perspective this is a fantastic environment for traders to get reps in so get to clicking
hope you all had a great week! see u monday

After listening to the @InsilicoTrading podcast I came to the conclusion that you should be careful listening to @nellyeeee
Because despite trading very nice and sounding extraordinarily handsome, it was hard to decipher whether his voice was actually AI or not
After deep research I came to the ultimatum of:
1) Worst case he's actually robot
2) Best case he's just French
Either way, human is debatable
Proceed with caution 💔

slept through nyo which sucks because that could've been some very fun scalping but there's always another trade and blindly chasing now is -ev so I'll just scan through the coins I like and see if I can find some continuation set ups (although I got dinner plans tonight so it might just be joever for me today)
did catch one very solid overnight long just kinda betting on directional strength so I'm glad to have seen that play out - good mtf break through a fairly stubborn resistance level so I would assume the path is open to eventually revisit the top of the range soon (~87k)
I hope you're all crushing it today! see u tmr (and shoutout @g0dquek for another banger edit)
good morning!!
gonna be another quick one from me bc stream day today but honestly i was not expecting to cook as hard as I did this session
tried to point out the value of paying attention to ltf moves on the S&P yesterday and I hope some of you listened bc you legit could've caught most of btc's moves last night just paying attention to how the S&P was moving
also jfc insane nyo rotation, feels like its been a while since we've gotten this much strength off the open - black monday week amiright lmfao
glhf today <3
guess I haven't mentioned this in a bit but if you want to get a sense for how I trade/view rotations, I have a fuck ton of trade reviews that you can find in the highlights tab of my profile
happy to start posting some of these again if you guys enjoy it/find it useful
lemme know

hope you're all doing well! back from a week off and ready to click some buttons
shorter session for me today bc had an interview with @InsilicoTrading that will be coming out on Thursday so keep an eye out for that - very nice convo with @Sokio8D and I've been a listener for a while so it's an honor to be invited, shoutout to him for having me on
lotta fear around tradfi these days which I don't particularly care about tbh but in terms of trading it means that we have been moving pretty closely with the s&p so I slapped it on my chart for a bit of added confluence, working well for now but we'll see how long that lasts
hope you all had a great weekend <3 see u tmr

Having gotten to know Nelly, his ability to grasp the rhythm and flow of price, particularly on lower timeframes, really stands out tbh...
A testament to what hard work, determination and years spent refining your craft can produce.
Give him a follow...
6 years I've been in markets trading spot and onchain and I've always been a lurker, had a bit of a chip on my shoulder so I felt like I had to figure it out all by myself but I had no idea how to trade perps which made me feel like I didn't really have the right to call myself a trader
looked up to people like @TraderMagus, @docXBT, @btc_charlie and @Trader_XO wondering what the hell it is that they knew that I didn't
read all their tweets and watched all their livestreams, enough to know they that clearly knew what they were doing but just couldn't figure it out looking from the outside in
it's not until I decided to let go this super cringe lone wolf 'I need to do this by myself' mentality that I was actually able to make some significant progress but what I got out of engaging with this industry was more than just a skillset, I learned how to have fun with this job again because I hadn't even realized how miserable it had become
grateful for @TheParagonGrp, grateful for the friends I've made along the way and the laughs we've shared, grateful for my mentors and grateful that I've been able to work myself into a position that I'm getting shoutouts from the traders I look up to
absolutely wild what a year of hard work can do for you

haven't been trading a bunch so not a ton to say ltf, instead let's go over a bit of MTF/HTF bitcoin:native
looking for the next bottom to position myself for a Q4 swing, from an EMA and SR level perspective here are your best options:
1: most optimistic option is that we have already bottomed locally, hit the bottom of our current range confluent with the 83.5k SR level.
decent amount of liquidations last night but not significant enough to give me very high confidence that we have scared people enough before going higher.
took a stab at this last night off the momentum loss pattern that formed after the drop, longed on 4 accounts and closed out 3 of them on the rotation from the 2sd to the dvwap.
let the swing run in the hopes of getting a larger rotation but unfortunately woke up stopped on that move since we made a lower low this morning - sucks but we live to fight another day.
potentially need to go a bit lower and sweep the previous weekly lows before we get a proper bounce but that's not far enough from the last low for me to make a separate plan for it.
2: been talking about this in my @TheParagonGrp group outlooks for a few weeks now but I really like the bottom of the daily trend (dark blue lines) for my next swing long.
showed good respect for it already and the simple way I tend to think of price action is in terms of pattern recognition so if it has happened once, it can happen again.
there is also a bunch of confluence right into that same level, whether it be the 30d rolling vwap or the 1sd of the yearly vwap which is slightly lower.
most likely get at the very least a good mechanical reaction there due to the amount of confluence stacked into those levels so definitely a spot I'll be looking to trigger but will require some discretion to figure out whether or not it will end up being THE local bottom.
3: highest EV trigger is most likely going to be a retest of the weekly trend (red lines).
multiple underside retest during the downtrend have proven that BTC is clearly respecting this trend but we have yet to retest it since our breakout in mid-August.
depending on how long it takes for us to retest it it's entirely possible that it continues to crab up and ends up being confluent with a move reaccepting into the last comp we formed prior to our most recent impulse and potentially confluent with the avwap marked from the last cycle high (light blue line).
if we get a retest of the weekly I will probably max shove into it looking to hold that position for the foreseeable future.
little wordy but hopefully this gives you an idea of how I'm looking to position myself for the next move, I know I could potentially be looking to position myself for shorts between these levels too but I am making a conscious effort to focus solely on the long side because I want to rewire my brain a bit towards focusing on optimism and catching the upside volatility rather than spending the extra effort to play both sides
hope no one was too leveraged prior to the flush last night, personally believe that we are quite early in the cycle so there's no point blowing up now when there is still a lot of opportunity right around the corner
stay safe and keep thinking long term, it'll serve you well
