One of the coolest things about working behind the scenes on one of the world's largest web platforms is seeing this kind of work happen.
All WordPress and WooCommerce sites hosted by Automattic are already protected against the recently disclosed PHP security vulnerabilities. Our teams worked closely with the PHP Security Team to make sure protections were in place as quickly as possible.
That's the kind of engineering work that often goes unnoticed, but makes a massive difference at scale. 🙂

Woo Core now triggers product.deleted webhooks when variations are permanently removed. Connected inventory and catalog systems can learn about deleted variants instead of keeping stale records.

This fix makes the admin shipping-class filter include variable products when one of their published variations uses that class. Merchants can find those products instead of getting an empty list.

An On Sale product collection shows no products when nothing is discounted (which avoids presenting regular-priced products as sale merchandise). It no longer displays the entire regular-priced catalog under an On Sale heading.

WooCommerce's Mini-Cart will show an updating subtotal and pause the Checkout button while cart changes are being saved. The merged improvement keeps shoppers from leaving for checkout before their update finishes.

VAT exemption survives when checkout updates a logged-in customer's address. A payment retry won't lose the exemption just because the saved account changed.
