JIRA.

ALT Panel 1: The Designer is sitting at his computer looking at something quizzically. He says "Wait, what's Jira? What am I even looking at?" Panel 2: He suddenly clutches his head in pain screaming "OH GOD, MY HEAD! AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!" Panel 3: His head explodes in a shower of blood. Panel 4: His computer catches on fire.

When not building websites, I like to run (took 20 mins off my marathon time at Dublin marathon yesterday).
When I couldn't find a running plan generator that I really liked, I built my own.
It will be launching this week. Find out the details at RunningPlanGenerator.com

I've been a software engineer for over 20 years and my BA in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing has been unbelievably useful. The ability to communicate clearly is one of the most undervalued skills in the software development process.

IT’S ITALY’S MOST EPIC SLEEPER TRAIN: Over 950 miles from Milan to Palermo, it’s a train that goes onto a boat, and a private single-bed sleeper cost me all of €84.90. I can resist anything except temptation…

An amazing figure to bear in mind:
even at the morning peak, there are only about 270 cars going through the north quays per hour.
Assuming average occupancy, it's about 4 or 5 buses worth of people.
Traffic on the quays is a solvable problem. We should solve it! – at Limerick, Ireland
Just got a presentation on the draft Dublin City Centre Transport Plan. Wow. Absolutely incredible.
This is one of the most important plans for Dublin since the pedestrianisation of Grafton and Henry Streets. Truly massive.

I have failed as a father!
My 22 year old daughter said she thought the Good Friday Agreement was when the Irish government allowed shops and pubs to sell alcohol on Good Friday!
I’m a failure! 😞
