1/ Building an agent in Drupal often means gluing modules together, each one configured on its own settings screen.
Antonio De Marco of @nuvoleweb took another route: write the agent in PHP, as a Drupal plugin. 🧵
4/ "That's the original promise kept: iterate on the agent, while the storage, persistence, logging and provider connection around it stay fixed."
To try it, ddev drush ghost starts the Ghostwriter example agent in your terminal.
5/ The module is in active development, and the European Commission is among its supporting organizations.

🔧 WeatherTool: ToolProperty for location and units, __invoke calls Open-Meteo
🤖 WeatherAgent: instructions, provider, tools
🎛️ Controller: validates, sets thread ID, calls chat
🛣️ Routes: ask, history
Fallback: OpenAI to a local Ollama model.
5/ The reasoning loop runs inside the Laravel app itself: no second service beside it. The file store is a demo choice for one server, a starting point.
