I do hate when people take aim at the Friday The 13th movies. It’s like swinging at low hanging fruit. The Friday franchise are the Hallmark movies of the horror genre. They are vanilla slashers that are comforting in their formula…that’s why we watch them.

The thing that bothers me about Matthew Lillard is that he showed up, took the career bump w a lead role in a box office hit, took the paycheck and THEN put everyone else on the cast in an awkward situation for some social justice points w Gen Z. Melissa Barrera’s “firing” happened years before Matthew Lillard even signed on to do ‘Scream 7’ — so this entire statement he made about being “embarrassed” for returning is more embarrassing than anything. I bet that cheque still cleared though, huh?
