This systematic review and meta-analysis finds that aerobic exercise is likely to elicit robust improvements in endothelial function and a wide range of cardiovascular disease-related markers.

Here, increased insulin resistance as indicated by a lower estimated glucose disposal rate (eGDR), an index of insulin resistance, and a higher albumin–bilirubin (ALBI) score, an emerging objective marker originally developed to assess liver function in patients with liver disease, were each associated with higher coronary heart disease prevalence in US adults.

This one found neither lifelong nor late-onset endurance training to be associated with increased carotid atherosclerosis or aortic stiffness, despite a higher burden of subclinical coronary atherosclerosis in middle-aged male Masters athletes.
- Although the presence of carotid plaque was statistically associated with coronary atherosclerosis markers across the cohort, its addition to traditional cardiovascular risk factors did not meaningfully improve discrimination of coronary disease.

This systematic review and meta-analysis finds that exercise snacks interventions may be concomitant with positive effects on cardiorespiratory fitness, triglycerides, and blood glucose in sedentary individuals.
- Analysis indicated that exercise snacks interventions may be concomitant with improvements in V̇O2peak and metabolic health (triglycerides and blood glucose) in sedentary populations, while an apparent benefit for V̇O2max was not maintained after trim-and-fill adjustment.
