There are lots of calls to be annoyed over yesterday.
The illegal receiver downfield is not one of them. That was a standard Heupel team on the road screw up.

Anybody want to take a stab at what these per game rankings represent?
Told y’all.
Josh Heupel said it was "missteps by George."
MacIntyre said it "should have been similar" to DaSaahn Brame's touchdown in the first half.
What went wrong on Tennessee's failed fourth-and-1 play that sparked South Carolina's 10-point rally:

Here’s why I get so pissed.
This had a been a broken record since SC 2022. At some point it falls on the coach and him not making this a priority. Well coached disciplined teams don’t do the things we do over and over and over again.
"There’s a lot of things that we’re in control of. Our guys compete hard. We got to play smarter."
What Josh Heupel said after No. 11 Tennessee's 27-24 loss at South Carolina ⤵️

Anyway, yeah he can beat Bama, which I greatly appreciate, but days like today - which happen way too frequently - is why we can’t get over the bump on the road to be a great team under Heupel.
Just depends if Danny White cares more about strip malls or taking the next step.
You will also never convince me college refs don’t gamble a lot. It’s the only thing that makes sense sometimes.
Hey @GregSankey - you told the refs the wrong team to call for today in Columbia. Tennessee is the ranked team with 1 loss.
I’d really like to know who tipped that ball on 3rd down other than the guy draped over the receiver.
