NOTICE OF SCHEDULED ANNUAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AT 132/33kV KATAMPE 1 TRANSMISSION SUBSTATION The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that its maintenance crew will carry out scheduled maintenance on the bay switchgears and associated equipment of the Katampe-Gwarimpa 132kV Line II at the 132/33kV Katampe 1 Transmission Substation on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 10 am to 4 pm. Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), will be unable to off-take electricity for onward supply to customers in parts of Kubwa, FO1, Gbazan­go, Byazin, Byazin Across, Dutse Alhaji, Dutse Makaranta, Ushafa, Bwari and environs, parts of Suleja, Kaduna Road, Sabon Wuse, Dikko, Madalla, Zuba, Dakwa, Tugan Maji and environs. TCN COMPLETES RECONSTRUCTION OF COLLAPSED 132kV TOWERS, RESTORES KARU-KEFFI-AKWANGA TRANSMISSION LINE The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that it has completed the reconstruction of three collapsed 132kV transmission towers, T78, T79 and T80, and restored the Karu-Keffi-Akwanga Transmission Line. The reconstruction was completed at 5:31 pm on Wednesday, 28th October, 2026, restoring the transmission pathway serving the 132/33kV Keffi and Akwanga Transmission Substations. The towers had collapsed on 7th October, 2026 following heavy rainfall and strong winds. TCN's maintenance crew worked diligently to reconstruct them and restore the affected line. TCN remains committed to maintaining and strengthening its transmission infrastructure to ensure the reliable and efficient transmission of bulk electricity across the country.
