NaVorro Bowman was impressed by Fred Warner and Malik Mustapha’s big game against the Commanders on Monday

The gap between the 49ers and everyone else in the NFC is insane Huge game in Atlanta for the Niners. Get the win, and they have the bye week with reinforcements on the way back from injury That second half push to secure the Division and the No. 1 seed in the NFC is coming up 🔜

Ji'Ayir Brown is tied for second in stops (8) among all safeties 🔥 Raheem Morris has done a phenomenal job with turning the backend of the 49ers defense around

John Lynch on Romello Height’s high level play: “I couldn’t be more proud. He’s been doing this with a club on his hand and I can’t wait until he gets the club off. His game (vs Commanders), I think he pressured at a ridiculously high rate at 40%.” via: @knbrmurph | @MarkusBoucher

The 49ers safeties in coverage this season 0 touchdowns allowed by any of the 3 Malik Mustapha: • 119 coverage snaps • 0 catches on 6 targets • 0 yards allowed per game • 71.8 coverage grade • 39.6 passer rating when targeted Marques Sigle: • 138 coverage snaps • 3 catches on 7 targets • 6 yards allowed per game • 67.3 coverage grade • 51.5 passer rating when targeted Ji'Ayir Brown: • 241 coverage snaps • 11 catches on 14 targets • 19 yards allowed per game • 72.0 coverage grade • 100.3 passer rating when targeted One other thing, they’ve only missed 7 tackles total on 75 opportunities (Sigle hasn’t missed any in 23 opportunities)

John Lynch on Malik Mustapha’s huge game against the Commanders: “I think that sequence at the end of the game, where on third down he comes down and it looks like they have an 8 or 9 yard gain, and what does he do? He comes and doesn’t break stride, makes a perfect form tackle, head up, in the strike zone, hits the guy, and he does not get another yard. That puts them into a fourth down situation. Then he shows off his coverage ability. He’s covering a receiver. Fighting till the bitter end to get that football out, and comes up with a huge pass breakup. That’s the play of the game right there. That sequence just kinda encompasses the way that Malik’s playing. He’s doing everything well right now. He’s playing with tremendous execution, physicality in all facets of the game. I’m really happy for him.” With how Malik and Ji'Ayir Brown are playing, it’s going to be extremely hard for the team to take one of them off the field when Marques Sigle comes back from his injury. This is actually a great problem to have via: @knbrmurph | @MarkusBoucher
