Slowly getting the collimation of the scope sorted, here are short exposures of the double cluster in Perseus NGC869 and NGC884
Some very short exposures (spanning only minutes) while testing my asiair remote setup (203sct f4.5 585mc) . Andromeda galaxy, ring nebula and neighbours m81 &82, some collimation and camera tilt to sort out but great to image some deepsky again!
So after posting my sorry image of NGC 7331 from last night, I saw this👀 Ha ha, just need 99.9hours more data...
I was surprised by the brightness of Supernova 2026aaiv in NGC7331 (the bright dot closest to the nucleus), a short live noisy stack taken last night at f4.5 asi858mc
Used to the asi224mc I am impressed with the low noise of the #ZwoAsi585mc (uncooled), this is M57 from last night, 2min of 12sec stack! (200mm at f4.5) Seems like a good allround camera, much bigger field as well.
An earlier shot of the solar eclipse with some small sunspots, will do a complete animation in due course, now onto the Persieds...
Test run on today’s Sun for the 97% solar eclipse later today from my observing site. Hard to get the whole disk in with my f4.5 setup so had to use a focal reducer resulting in some vignetting . Some small sunspots gracing the stage...
