ABBA having a song for literally every human experience. having a crush, being broke, getting dumped, making up, turning 18, watching your daughter grow up, being horny, defeating the French... they really covered every possible situation
I am pissed off about this again

You can’t tell North & South girls anything because we have the best novel to screen adaptation and a book that gives so much depth AND excellent fanfiction.
and no one can convince me that any of the existing adaptations are good or memorable 😴

Every Jane Austen novel has at least one great adaptation, except for her best novel, Persuasion, which also happens to have her best male lead, Captain Wentworth.
The injustice of it all.
there is a concerning pattern where certain men continuously mock and objectify women regardless of whether they wear hijab or not as if it has become central to their discourse

it's only colonel brandon and marianne because they find each other everywhere through their gaze...across pianofortes, dining tables, crowded rooms, the vast forests and wilderness, their eyes meet and rest with each other!!!
‘The persistence of the infatuation lent it an aspect of genuineness. The hopelessness of it colored it with the lofty tones of a great passion.’
amazing performances by the cast but I don’t understand early modern english so the hamlet play went over my head

I actually think this is a genius idea and promotes immersive reading which is the best way to read a book . Y'all are just assholes to audiobook listeners for no reason
she’s so real. that’s why I love historical fiction. I love being reminded that women today got to where we are now bcs of the women before us.
honestly a new adaptation is overdue and I’d love a 10-episodes limited series bcs the 2004 one did miss out on a huge chunk of the story……… but I am NOT that hungry yet lol I am good with this one #fornow
