california voters, please make sure everyone you know is aware that prop 41 & 42 exist to cancel out the one time billionaire tax in prop 40. if you want prop 40 to pass & not be nullified, VOTE NO on 41 & 42. i’ve been inundated with ads for prop 42 recently & it is so dark how it’s presented as protection for working class people & retirees because it sounds great, & i can easily see it confusing voters into voting against their own interests. & it is utterly despicable how we allow this kind of misinformation in elections in order to undermine the will of the people. if prop 40 passes & is then nullified by the same voters because they didn’t understand, that’s already fucked. & if they didn’t understand by the design of billionaires who spent hundreds of millions of dollars to confuse them, that’s criminal (or should be). whether you support prop 40 or not, trickery to subvert democracy should disturb you deeply.
