Yesterday, at Ibom Hall Grounds, Uyo, I approved payment of a 13th-month pension bonus to all pensioners in Akwa Ibom State, along with an additional ₦10,000 welfare support to be paid with their November 2026 pensions. I appreciate the Nigeria Union of Pensioners for honouring me with a Merit Award and for their endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and my humble self for re-election in 2027. Our administration has so far paid ₦100 billion out of the ₦111 billion inherited gratuity backlog, and we remain committed to clearing the balance before the end of our first term. I also encourage our pensioners aged 65 and above to enrol in our free health insurance scheme. Our elderly citizens deserve to enjoy their retirement in good health and dignity. God bless you all.

If it is a character flaw, then he should be relieved of that post. He could start tech hubs, sports in LGs, pick students for scholarships etc. Something YOUTH benefits from. Trainings in Solar, electrical, accounting, Tax etc. But he is thinking PS5!!! Leaders of tomorrow.
